About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Node.js Developer to build highly scalable, resilient, and production-ready backend systems. In this role, you will lead backend development, collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and drive engineering excellence throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with Product Owners, Project Managers, and Scrum Masters to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices for large-scale production systems.
- Develop and maintain batch processing and scheduled jobs using Python and Shell scripting.
- Lead backend architecture discussions and provide technical guidance to the engineering team.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers.
- Own the complete software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Design and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS or GCP.
- Implement containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ensure application security, performance, scalability, and reliability by following engineering best practices.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning,



backlog grooming, stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in backend software development.
- 3+ years of experience developing RESTful APIs using Node.js.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, JSON, and REST API design.
- Experience developing batch processing solutions using Python and Shell scripting.
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Git and collaborative branching strategies.
- Experience building and deploying applications on AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Good working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, security best practices, and scalable architecture.
- Experience leading technical discussions, performing code reviews, and mentoring engineering teams.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
