We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Live Underwriter to join our dynamic team.
As a Live Underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating and assessing the risk associated with insurance applications in real-time, ensuring that policies are issued accurately and in accordance with company guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze insurance applications, including medical history, financial information, and lifestyle factors.
- Assess risk levels and determine appropriate policy terms, conditions, and premiums.
- Communicate effectively with agents, brokers, and clients to gather necessary information and explain underwriting decisions.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in underwriting practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless policy issuance.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all underwriting activities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Live Underwriter or in a similar role within the insurance industry.
- Robust understanding of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and insurance products.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in using underwriting software and other relevant tools.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of applications.
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
