Responsibilities:
- Responsible for procurement of the assigned raw materials, goods or services while utilizing negotiations, employing market knowledge to obtain best pricing and best supply situation
- Processes and documents all Procure-to-Pay transactions in an efficient and accurate manner by working with the Sourcing Managers, Accounts Payable and key stakeholders in the plant
- Obtain and analyze pricing bids, spot buys, and quotes to determine proper sourcing of indirect materials, and/or services
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and exercise a high degree of independent judgment to manage vendor relationships
- Identify and implement cost savings and avoidance opportunities without impacting service levels
- Work to minimize the total cost of transactions.
- Initiate set up process for new vendors.
- Resolve blocked invoice issues.
- Uphold internal and external policies, regulations and laws
- Assist with contract development and entries into contract management system
- Seek to become the expert and source of advice in area of assignment.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in supply chain preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to forge and collaborate with internal customer/external supplier relationships.
- Understanding of contracts and commercial terms
- Comprehensive knowledge of purchasing and basic understanding of supply chain management
- Expertise in SAP and/or SAP-Ariba data processing systems preferred
- Ability to comply with existing/quickly adapt to recent processes within the organization; Adaptive to change, uncertain circumstances, embraces challenges
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in team environment and demonstrate leadership
