Kefilo is building a human transformation ecosystem focused on functional nutrition, preventive wellness, gut health and lifestyle redesign.

We are building beyond a traditional food-delivery model, with a focus on personalized nutrition, healthy food products, transformation programs and scalable food production.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Food Scientist who can take ownership of food R&D; at Kefilo, develop and standardize healthy and functional food products, and help build systems for scalable, consistent and commercially viable food production.

This is an equity-based founding team opportunity for someone who wants to build the food science and product R&D; function from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

- Research and develop healthy, functional and nutrition-focused food products aligned with Kefilo's transformation programs.

- Develop and standardize recipes based on nutrition, taste, cost, shelf life and scalability.

- Work with nutritionists to optimize macro and micronutrient profiles of meals and food products.

- Conduct trials, sensory evaluations and product testing to improve taste, texture, quality and consistency.

- Develop standardized recipes, ingredient specifications, preparation methods and quality parameters.

- Evaluate ingredients, food formulations, preservation methods, packaging and storage requirements.





- Work on improving the scalability of products from small-batch trials to commercial production.

- Support development of ready-to-eat, ready-to-cook, functional and convenience food products.

- Analyse food costs, yield, wastage and production efficiency to support commercially viable formulations.

- Establish food quality, hygiene, safety and standardization protocols in coordination with the operations team.

- Research food technology, functional ingredients and emerging nutrition-focused food products.

- Work closely with the founder, nutrition, kitchen, operations and marketing teams to take products from concept to market.

Ideal Candidate

- Degree or background in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Nutrition or a related field.

- Practical understanding of food formulation, product development, food processing and quality control.

- Experience in recipe development, food R&D;, product testing or commercial food production is preferred.

- Robust understanding of nutrition, ingredients, food safety and food quality.

- Ability to balance nutrition, taste, cost, scalability and customer acceptance.

- Comfortable conducting experiments and developing products from scratch.

- Strong analytical,



research and problem-solving skills.

- Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to work in an early-stage environment.

- Strong ownership and ability to work independently with the founding team.

This is an equity-only opportunity with no fixed salary at the current stage.

The expected contribution is 20–25 hours per week on a remote, part-time basis. We are looking for someone interested in building long-term value and taking ownership of a core function rather than working only on assigned tasks.

The founder onboarding process includes 3–4 strategic discussions followed by a 1-month NDA-based collaboration phase to evaluate expertise, execution, ownership and long-term alignment.

Equity will be structured based on contribution, responsibility and commitment, with a 5-year vesting structure for core founding members.

Fixed compensation will be introduced after fundraising and revenue stabilization.
