Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver immediate, life-saving interventions for trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and septic emergencies—managing resuscitation, airway control, and stabilization.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams during mass casualty incidents or code blue events—coordinating nurses, paramedics, and specialists under high-pressure conditions.
- Implement clinical protocols aligned with Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Indian Emergency Medicine standards.
- Document patient encounters accurately in EHR systems, ensuring compliance with medico-legal requirements and hospital audit trails.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives—reviewing mortality/morbidity cases, reducing ED length-of-stay, and optimizing resource allocation.
- Train junior doctors and nursing staff on emergency algorithms, procedural skills, and communication during critical events.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- DM Emergency Medicine / DNB Emergency Medicine / MD General Medicine with emergency rotation experience
- ACLS certification
- ATLS certification
- Proficiency in trauma & cardiac resuscitation
- Experience in managing ICU/ED patient flow
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or mentoring junior doctors
- Exposure to disaster response or mass casualty drills
- familiarity with clinical decision support tools or mobile code documentation platforms
