About the Role

We're looking for a Marketing Manager to build and lead marketing at Anthriq.

You'll own the function end-to-end: the strategy, the calendar, the numbers, and the story. This is a hands-on marketing role - you ideate, you execute, you lead. In an early team, that means you'll still be hands-on: writing, shipping, and standing on the stage alongside the leaders.

You'll work directly with the founders, researchers, and Engineers and be the person who turns deep technology into things people actually want to read, attend, and share.

You don't need to be a neuroscientist or an Engineer. You do need to be the kind of person who, handed something technical, leans in to understand it instead of backing away from it.

Job Requirements

Digital and social presence

- Own Anthriq's digital footprint end-to-end: social channels (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Reddit, and emerging platforms), the website, and Substack newsletter.
- Build and run the content engine — social strategy and calendar, well-researched long-form articles, newsletter issues, website copy.
- Technical copywriting: translate specs, signal-quality data, and engineering detail into transparent, credible copy for product pages, launch material, documentation-adjacent content, and sales collateral — accurate enough that our engineers sign off on it, and readable enough that a game developer or product lead gets it immediately.
- Use the founders' personal brands: Thought leadership posts and articles; tell stories that get attention.
- Own SEO(and AEO) performance — structuring content so both Google and AI answer engines can find, cite, and recommend Anthriq.
- Monitor performance across channels, read the metrics honestly, work out what's landing and what isn't, and adjust the strategy accordingly.

- Manage PR for the moments that matter — fundraise, product, and partnership announcements.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, newsletters, podcasts, and analysts in deeptech, neurotech, and developer media.

Offline presence and community

- Plan and run our offline presence: booths, demos, presentations, conferences and industry events — including the logistics and coordination that make them actually happen.
- Build community. Grow and run our developer and research community programs — NeuroTech Round Table meetups, BioDevs, fellowships, university and academy programs — and design new community motions from scratch.
- Turn community into a marketing channel: activate builders, researchers, and early customers as advocates, and create the surface area for them to share what they've built with our tools.
- Represent Anthriq on stage. You should be comfortable presenting the company clearly to a room; we'll handle the deep technical Q&A.;

Team and function

- Build and run marketing team as we grow.
- Own the marketing plan, budget, and reporting — and bring the founders a clear monthly view of what's working, what isn't, and what changes next.

Qualifications

- 4+ years of experience in marketing, communications, content, or brand, with experience owning channels end-to-end and ideally some experience leading or mentoring others.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication.

Your copy should be clean enough that no one ever has to catch an editorial mistake in it. Very important.
- Comfort with technical subject matter. You don't avoid a topic because it's complex — you take the time to understand the underlying technology/concept, then explain it simply without dumbing it down.
- Technical copywriting ability. You can read a spec sheet or talk to an engineer and produce copy that is both technically accurate and genuinely readable.
- Community-building instinct. You understand how to grow a community of technical people and turn it into real marketing outcomes, not just a headcount.
- A genuine self-starter. The "tell me what needs to happen and I'll figure out how" kind. High agency, low hand-holding, comfortable with ambiguity.
- Tech-smart by default. Fluent with modern tooling, including AI tools. You're never the person asking how to use Claude or how to run an ad campaign on LinkedIn.

Preferred Skills

- B2B marketing (and lead gen) is a strong added advantage — selling to businesses, research labs, OEMs, or enterprise buyers with long, considered purchase cycles.
- Exposure to deeptech, hardware, semiconductors, robotics, biotech, neurotech, or developer-tools companies.
- Experience marketing to developers or researchers — audiences that can smell traditional marketing from a mile away.
- Hands-on SEO and AEO/GEO experience, with real comfort in analytics and reporting.
- Working knowledge of design and content tooling (Figma, Canva, video editing) — enough to ship social collateral without waiting on the design team to deliver.
- A portfolio, newsletter, blog, or body of published work that shows how you write and think.
