Role Overview :

As a Senior Engineering Manager based in Bangalore, you will lead high-performing engineering teams to design, develop, and deploy robust systems that handle massive transaction volumes. You will act as a bridge between technical execution and business strategy, working closely with product managers, architects, and global leadership to align engineering roadmaps with long-term organizational goals. This role is pivotal in shaping the technical direction of our platforms while nurturing a culture of high performance, mentorship, and continuous improvement, ultimately ensuring our technology remains resilient and scalable in a competitive retail landscape.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet complex business requirements and performance benchmarks.
- Define the long-term technical strategy and system architecture to ensure platforms are scalable, secure, and capable of supporting rapid business growth.




- Collaborate with product management and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business objectives into actionable technical roadmaps and project milestones.
- Drive operational excellence by implementing rigorous engineering standards, code review processes, and automated testing frameworks across the organization.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, ensuring that project timelines, resource allocation, and budget constraints are met while maintaining high team morale.
- Cultivate a high-performance culture by identifying talent, providing career coaching, and fostering an environment of psychological safety and innovation.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale engineering organizations with 12 to 17 years of experience in software development and technical leadership.
- Proven expertise in designing distributed system architectures that handle high-concurrency and large-scale data processing.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence executive leadership and negotiate priorities across diverse global teams.
- Solid background in people management, including experience in building diverse teams, managing performance, and developing future leaders.
- Deep understanding of product management principles, enabling the ability to align technical decisions with user-centric outcomes and market needs.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and foster transparency across the organization.
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, maintaining high levels of team engagement and productivity through effective remote and in-person collaboration.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a premier institute is highly preferred.
