Role & responsibilities
Handling sick & emergency PICU patients.Manage admissions of pediatric patients by getting all information and records needed for treatmentConducting rounds with the doctors.Monitoring patient vitals such as blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate, temperature, and weight on a frequent basis to ensure they are within normal limits.Monitoring the childs progress and communicating with other health care professionals regarding treatment plans and patient progress.Initate measures for emergency treatment of patients including infant resuscitation and advanced life support proceduresPerforming physical examinations on patients, including listening to lungs with a stethoscope and checking pulses in arms and legs.Preparing patient for feeding by suctioning out their noses and mouths with a bulb syringeMonitoring the infants feeding schedule, administering feeding through a tube that has been inserted into the stomach through the navel, and changing diapers as neededRecording information about patient symptoms,
reactions to medications, and progress during nursing assessmentsObserving and documenting patient behavior, including interactions with family members, visitors, and staff membersTaking handover from other shift nurse/incharge.Checking of ward cleaning/ Biomedical waste Management.Sample collection, Dispatcing blood samples according to the tests required and collecting Lab reports.IV cannulisationAttending emergency cases along with assisting & ressucitationIndenting and replacement of stock.Checking the ward inventory, medical and non medical equipment during the shifts and custodian of all these for PICU
Preferred candidate profile
Minimum Qualifications : GNM/B.Sc. Nursing recognized by INC / TSNC
Minimum 2 years experience. 1 year's experience in ICU or PICU.
