We are looking for an Associate Architect with deep expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 5.x & 9.x to design, lead, and deliver end-to-end VCF solutions for both greenfield and brownfield engagements. In this role, you will own the technical architecture and solution design for modern datacenter, private cloud, and hybrid cloud environments, while guiding engineering teams through implementation, migration, and lifecycle management. This role requires strong architectural command of vSphere, NSX, vSAN, SDDC Manager, and the VCF Components of entire stack Suite, along with the ability to translate customer requirements into scalable, resilient VCF designs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and architect end-to-end VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 9.x) solutions for greenfield deployments and brownfield upgrades/migrations.
- Lead technical discovery, requirement gathering, and current-state assessments to define target-state VCF architectures.
- Own solution design documents including HLD/LLD, architecture diagrams, sizing, capacity planning, and bill of materials.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams through VCF Bring-Up, Management/Workload Domain creation, and Day-0 to Day-2 operations.
- Define and validate networking and storage architectures spanning NSX segments, VPC, vDefend, T0/T1 gateways, and vSAN storage policies.
- Architect integration of VCF Suite (Operations, Automation, Log Insight/Logs) for observability, governance, and lifecycle management.
- Lead migration and modernization efforts for brownfield environments, including upgrades from legacy vSphere/VCF versions to VCF 9.x.
- Design and drive automation frameworks using Ansible, PowerCLI,



or Terraform to standardize deployment and operations.
- Architect hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity leveraging VMware solutions on public cloud (e.g., Azure VMware Solution, VMware Cloud on AWS, Google Cloud VMware Engine) and, where applicable, Nutanix-based environments as additional skills.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, presenting architecture, addressing risks, and driving design decisions through project delivery.
- Review and validate implementation work against architecture standards, ensuring quality, security, and performance benchmarks are met.
- Prepare and maintain architecture documentation, runbooks, and best-practice guidelines for delivery teams.
- Stay current with VMware roadmap, VCF 9.x features, and emerging technologies (including Nutanix and public cloud offerings) to advise on future-ready designs.
- Lead the overall VCF delivery as a team player by managing and guiding lead engineers and senior engineers, while providing technical leadership and hands-on assistance wherever required.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in virtualization, private/hybrid cloud infrastructure, and datacenter architecture.
- Proven experience designing and delivering VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) projects, including at least one full VCF 9.x greenfield or brownfield engagement.




- Proven experience planning and executing VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) upgrades across versions 5.x through 9.x, including assessment, validation, and end-to-end upgrade delivery.
- Strong architectural expertise in VMware vSphere, NSX, and vSAN, with hands-on command of SDDC Manager, Bring-Up, domain design, and lifecycle management (LCM).
- Experience leading brownfield upgrades/migrations from legacy vSphere or earlier VCF versions to VCF 9.x.
- Working knowledge of automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or scripting (PowerCLI, Python) for deployment standardization.
- Positive to have: Experience with VMware solutions on public cloud (AVS, VMware Cloud on AWS, GCVE) and hybrid cloud architecture design.
- Good to have: Exposure to Nutanix platform (AHV, Prism, Nutanix Cloud Manager) or hyperconverged infrastructure alternatives.
- VMware certifications such as VCP-DCV, VCP-NV, VCAP/VCDX (Data Center Virtualization or Network Virtualization), or VCF 9.x Administrator/Architect certifications much preferred.
