We’re looking for a Videographer to join us on a project basis for an upcoming documentary-style video production for a leading school in Kolkata (currently).

This is not a typical event-shooting role.

We’re looking for someone who understands how to observe, anticipate and capture real moments. Someone who can make a school corridor, a classroom, a conversation or a simple human interaction feel like part of a story.

You’ll work closely with our Creative, Content and Production team to translate concepts into strong visual narratives.

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Shoot documentary-style video content across school environments, classrooms, activities, interviews and real-life interactions.
- Capture A-roll, B-roll, observational footage, environmental shots and cinematic details.
- Frame and compose shots with storytelling in mind, not just aesthetics.
- Handle camera, lenses, lighting and on-location production equipment.
- Shoot interviews and natural conversations while maintaining clean composition and exposure.
- Capture authentic reactions, interactions and unscripted moments.
- Plan coverage based on the story and ensure the editor has enough footage to build a complete narrative.
- Work with the Creative Director/Coordinator to understand the objective of each shoot.
- Maintain visual consistency across multiple shooting days.
- Manage footage responsibly and maintain proper file organisation and backups.




- Coordinate smoothly with students, teachers, staff and production teams on location.
- Work efficiently within planned shoot schedules.

What We’re Looking For:

- Proven experience as a Videographer/Cinematographer.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating skilled video work.
- Sony camera system suitable for professional video production.
- Prime lenses, particularly wide/fast lenses, suitable for documentary and indoor shooting.
- Practical experience shooting documentary or documentary-style content. You don't need to have made dozens of documentaries, but you should understand observational storytelling and real-world shooting.
- Strong understanding of exposure, composition, lighting, focus and camera movement.
- Ability to shoot clean, usable footage rather than simply "cinematic" individual shots.
- Good understanding of interview lighting and framing.
- Ability to work independently on location.
- Good sense of timing — knowing when to direct and, more importantly, when to simply observe.
