: Vice President, Operational Excellence

Position Overview The Vice President of Operational Excellence (VP, Operational Excellence) is a key member of the senior management team, responsible for formulating and executing the company's operational excellence strategy. This role provides comprehensive leadership over core functions such as Operational Excellence, process optimization, Lean management, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, operational digitalization, and performance enhancement. By establishing standardized, lean, digital, and data-driven operational systems, the VP continuously improves operational efficiency, product quality, cost competitiveness, and customer satisfaction, thereby supporting the company's long-term growth and the achievement of strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence Strategy

Formulate and implement the corporate operational excellence strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy and operational goals.

Establish the operational excellence management system and governance framework.

Develop continuous improvement roadmaps and annual operational optimization plans.

Drive the cultivation of an operational excellence culture and the promotion of best practices.

Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement

Establish the Business Process Management (BPM) system.

Drive Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and continuous optimization projects.

Apply methodologies such as Lean management and Six Sigma to enhance operational efficiency.

Establish mechanisms for process performance evaluation and continuous improvement.

Operational Performance Management

Establish operational performance indicators (KPIs) and performance monitoring systems.

Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost optimization.

Drive continuous improvement in operational performance and value creation.

Regularly report operational results and improvement progress to senior management.

Digital Operations and Intelligent Management

Drive the digital transformation of operations and the development of intelligent operational platforms.

Promote the adoption of digital tools such as ERP, MES, SCM, CRM, RPA, AI, and BI.





Establish operational data analysis platforms and visualization dashboards.

Leverage automation and data analytics technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

Quality and Standardization Management

Establish standardized operational systems and quality management mechanisms.

Drive the implementation of ISO, GMP, GxP, or relevant industry standards.

Improve product and service quality while reducing operational error rates.

Establish systems for the continuous monitoring and improvement of operational quality.

Cost Optimization and Resource Management

Formulate strategies for operational cost optimization and resource allocation. Improve the utilization efficiency of equipment, personnel, and capital.

Support budget management and cost improvement initiatives.

Drive Value Engineering and cost-reduction/efficiency-enhancement programs.

Risk Management and Operational Governance

Establish mechanisms for identifying, assessing, and responding to operational risks.

Ensure operations comply with corporate policies, regulations, and industry standards.

Establish Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and operational emergency management systems.

Support internal audit and compliance management activities.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Collaborate closely with production, supply chain, R&D;, quality, finance, HR, and IT teams.

Drive cross-functional continuous improvement and operational optimization projects.

Support corporate strategic transformation and the implementation of global operational projects.

Establish systems for sharing operational experience and managing knowledge.

Team Building and Leadership

Build and lead teams dedicated to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Develop talent specializing in Lean management, process optimization, and operational improvement.

Establish performance management and competency development systems.





Foster an operational culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and high performance.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Preferred majors: Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Engineering Management, Business Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields.

MBA or relevant master’s degree preferred.

Professional Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.

Relevant skilled certifications (e.g., PMP, APICS, ASQ) preferred.

Work Experience

12 years of experience in operations management, continuous improvement, process optimization, or operational excellence.

8 years of experience in senior management roles.

Previous experience as Head of Operational Excellence, VP of Operations, Head of Continuous Improvement, or similar senior management positions.

Experience in operations management within large enterprises, multinational corporations, or corporate groups.

Experience in global operations and managing cross-regional teams preferred. Core Competencies
