The ARM Group is looking for a seasoned Vice President – Quality / Head of Quality to lead the complete Quality function for a leading automotive component manufacturing organization with significant operations in Aluminium Die Casting and Precision Machining.

Role:

The role will be responsible for driving end-to-end quality excellence across Customer Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, New Product Quality, Quality Systems and Metrology, while ensuring world-class quality performance, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will come from a Tier-1/Tier-2 automotive component manufacturing environment with solid hands-on exposure to aluminium die casting and machining operations.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Leadership

- Lead the overall Quality function across manufacturing operations.
- Develop and execute the organization's Quality strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Establish Quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement across plants and functions.
- Build a strong culture of Quality ownership and prevention.

Customer Quality

- Manage senior-level interactions with Automotive OEM and Tier-1 customers.
- Lead customer audits, technical reviews and critical Quality escalations.
- Drive reduction in Customer PPM, warranty issues, complaints and field failures.
- Lead structured problem-solving and corrective/preventive actions.

Manufacturing Quality

- Drive Quality improvement across:
- Aluminium Die Casting
- Precision Machining
- CNC / VMC / HMC operations
- Assembly and related manufacturing processes
- Improve process capability and reduce internal rejection, scrap and rework.
- Strengthen process controls and manufacturing Quality systems.

Supplier Quality

- Lead Supplier Quality Assurance and supplier development.
- Improve incoming Quality performance and supplier process capability.
- Drive supplier audits, corrective actions and continuous improvement programs.

New Product Quality

- Ensure robust Quality planning for new product introduction.
- Lead:
- APQP
- PPAP

- Control Plans
- Launch Readiness Reviews
- Ensure smooth product launches with strong preventive Quality controls.

Quality Systems & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, Customer Specific Requirements and applicable automotive standards.
- Lead internal, customer and certification audits.
- Drive Quality Management System effectiveness and continual improvement.
- Strengthen metrology, inspection and laboratory systems.

Leadership & Team Development

- Lead and develop senior Quality managers and plant Quality teams.
- Build leadership succession and technical capabilities within the Quality organization.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Product Development teams.
- Drive cross-functional Quality improvement initiatives.

Candidate Profile

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Production, Metallurgy or Automobile Engineering preferred.
- Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 20–30 years of experience in automotive component manufacturing.
- Significant leadership experience as Quality Head, Corporate Quality Head, GM Quality, Senior Quality Head or VP Quality.
- Experience managing Quality across multiple functions and preferably multiple plants.

We are particularly interested in senior Quality leaders from reputed automotive component manufacturers involved in Aluminium Die Casting and Precision Machining.

Candidates from general engineering, electronics, consumer goods, steel, cement, EPC, chemical or other non-automotive industries will not be considered.

This is a critical leadership position requiring a Quality leader who understands both the technical complexities of aluminium die casting and machining and the strategic expectations of a senior automotive Quality organization.
