Position Title: Vehicle Message Matrix Implementation Engineer.

Primary Location: FUSO Technical Center India, Chennai and supporting FUSO Japan and future HINO portfolios

Role Purpose: Implement approved FUSO/HINO component owner requests into the central VMM tool or repository and maintain accurate, consistent, traceable message and signal definitions across vehicle networks, variants and releases.

Experience:7 to 10 years (2-Openings), 4 to 7 years (Openings)

Role Summary: The Vehicle Message Matrix Implementation Engineer is responsible for translating approved VMM change requests into exact tool implementation. The role maintains message and signal definitions for CAN, LIN and Ethernet, performs consistency checks, prepares release outputs, and supports integration and testing clarification. The engineer works under the direction of the Vehicle Message Coordinator and Lead Engineer and contributes to traceable VMM baselines for FUSO and future HINO vehicle portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

Request implementation

- Implement approved requests from FUSO/HINO component owners into the central VMM tool or repository.
- Create, update and delete signal/message entries according to approved change scope, naming rules and matrix structure.
- Maintain implementation status and provide clear feedback on blockers, inconsistencies and clarification needs.

Message and signal maintenance

- Maintain message and signal definitions for CAN, LIN and Ethernet networks.
- Update gateway routing, variants, releases and related signal attributes according to approved engineering inputs.
- Ensure message data remains aligned with FUSO/HINO portfolio requirements and release timing.





Consistency and quality checks

- Perform consistency checks for IDs/PGNs, scaling, units, timing, bus load, and backward compatibility.
- Identify duplicate, missing, conflicting or incomplete signal definitions before releasing packaging.
- Support review closure by correcting findings and confirming implementation completeness.

Release support and traceability

- Prepare release package inputs, change logs, and issue tracker information.
- Ensure traceability from request through analysis, implementation, review and release baseline.
- Support integration and testing clarification for implemented VMM definitions.

Modeling support

- Perform feature partitioning, feature modeling, and logical modeling activities as assigned.
- Support decomposition of feature-level needs into implementable message and signal structures.
- Escalate modeling conflicts or architecture alignment issues to the coordinator/lead engineer.

Required Knowledge and Skills Hands-on understanding of vehicle network signals, messages and ECUs

CAN, LIN and Ethernet message definition knowledge, including timing and routing basics

PREEvision or comparable VMM implementation tool experience

Attention to detail for signal attributes, IDs/PGNs, units, scaling, timing and variants

Ability to work with structured databases, engineering repositories and versioned baselines

Ability to follow defined governance, naming, release and traceability rules

Communication skills to clarify technical questions with coordinator/lead and component owners

Basic understanding of diagnostics, cybersecurity, safety and integration/testing interfaces
