What does a successful Technical Delivery Manager do?

A successful Technical Delivery Manager at Fiserv leads large-scale infrastructure lifecycle and Tech Refresh initiatives across complex enterprise environments. You drive end-to-end technical delivery for platform remediation, modernization, and compliance-focused programs while ensuring disciplined execution, strong governance, and stakeholder alignment. This role helps Fiserv reduce technology risk, strengthen platform resiliency, and deliver operational excellence across globally distributed teams.

What you will do:

- Lead end-to-end delivery of Tech Refresh and infrastructure lifecycle programs across Windows, Linux, SQL Server, DB2, and enterprise platforms.
- Own planning, readiness, scheduling, change preparation, implementation, validation, post-change review, and closure activities.
- Partner with business units, infrastructure engineering, operations, PMO teams, application owners, and vendor partners to remediate EOL, EOS, and ESU risks.
- Identify and manage delivery risks including intake delays, aging change tasks, reschedules, cancellations, dependency gaps, and upgrade readiness issues.
- Establish governance mechanisms including dashboards, readiness reviews, risk registers, weekly operating reviews, escalation paths, and leadership reporting.
- Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across upgrade execution, reporting, dependency management, and operational handoffs.
- Manage vendor performance against SOW commitments, quality standards,



throughput expectations, and escalation requirements.
- Provide clear, data-driven updates to senior leadership on delivery progress, risks, mitigations, blockers, and required decisions.

What you will need to have:

- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, technical delivery, technology program management, or enterprise infrastructure operations.
- 10+ years of experience leading infrastructure upgrade, lifecycle management, platform remediation, or modernization programs.
- 10+ years of experience with Windows, Linux, SQL Server, DB2, virtualization, enterprise hosting, and infrastructure change execution.
- 10+ years of experience applying ITIL-based change, incident, problem, release, and configuration management practices.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, and/or equivalent military experience.

What would be excellent to have:

- Experience supporting Tech Refresh, EOL/EOS, ESU, compliance remediation, or infrastructure modernization programs.
- Experience driving automation, process transformation, and operational efficiency in infrastructure engineering or operations.
- Experience using ServiceNow, Power BI, CMDB platforms, Excel governance trackers, or similar delivery management tools.
- ITIL, PMP, Agile, cloud, or infrastructure certifications.
- Experience working in regulated environments such as fintech, banking, payments, or financial services technology.
