About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader Quality to manage and coordinate the quality inspection team at the customer location. The Team Leader will be responsible for manpower management, inspection activities, technical support, shift planning, quality requirements, team performance and customer-related quality activities.
Educational Qualification
- ITI Mechanical / Automobile or related trade
- Diploma Mechanical / Automobile / Metrology
- BE / B.Tech Mechanical / Automobile / related engineering
- Relevant technical qualification with strong practical quality inspection experience may also be considered.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Quality Inspection / Manufacturing Quality.
- Hands-on experience in managing and handling manpower in a shift/team setting.
- Experience in allocating work, monitoring team performance and achieving daily inspection targets.
- Experience in handling customer quality requirements and inspection-related activities preferred.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of 2D Engineering Drawing Reading
- Dimensional Inspection and tolerance understanding
- Hands-on knowledge of Vernier Caliper and Micrometer
- Knowledge of Gauges / Measuring Gauges
- Height Gauge handling
- Portable CMM knowledge
- Coordinate Measuring / CMM inspection knowledge
- Inspection instrument handling and basic calibration awareness
- Ability to identify and communicate dimensional / quality abnormalities
Team Leader / Manpower Management Skills
- Manpower planning and shift-wise work allocation
- Handling and monitoring QC Inspectors
- Daily shift planning based on customer requirements
- Monitoring attendance and manpower availability
- Training and developing inspectors to improve competency
- Monitoring individual and team performance
- Ensuring proper shift handover and communication
- Handling team discipline and workplace 5S
- Supporting recruitment, new employee induction and training where required
- Ability to motivate and guide team members to achieve targets
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct team meetings and communicate pending inspection items, priority items, quality requirements and instrument-related requirements.
- Allocate inspection work to QC Inspectors and monitor completion against daily targets.
- Monitor WIP / pending inspection status and prioritize work as required.
- Ensure inspection activities are completed within the required timeline.
- Ensure the calibration status and proper condition of available measuring instruments and equipment.
- Follow gauge checklists during shift handover and identify missing, damaged or out-of-calibration gauges.
- Provide technical guidance and training to inspectors.
- Conduct workstation / process audits as required.
- Maintain required quality documents and records.
- Coordinate shift-wise material movement and document clearance where applicable.
- Coordinate inspection activities and achieve assigned quality and productivity targets.
- Support continual improvement activities in quality control.
- Prepare / coordinate daily inspection and sorting reports.
- Maintain required inspection and manpower data.
- Handle day-to-day customer interaction related to inspection and previous inspection / sorting results.
- Manage daily shift planning and manpower deployment.
- Escalate quality concerns promptly and support corrective action activities.

- 5S Target: 100%
- Attendance / Manpower availability Target: 100%
- Customer concerns to be responded to and escalated promptly
- Achieve assigned inspection and productivity targets
Salary & Benefits Salary: 22,000 to 26,000 Take-Home per month
Salary will be offered based on relevant experience, technical competency, manpower handling experience, team leadership skills and overall suitability for the role.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3 years of relevant quality inspection experience
- Strong technical knowledge in dimensional inspection
- Good 2D drawing reading ability
- Hands-on knowledge of measuring instruments and gauges
- Proven manpower handling experience
- Good communication and team coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for shift operations
- Disciplined, responsible and target-oriented
- Willing to work in a 2-shift environment
