General Summary:

Qualcomm is seeking a motivated System Integration Test Engineer, Staff/Senior Lead/Senior Engineer to drive end-to-end validation of 5G-Advanced and next-generation 6G technologies and solutions. The role involves system integration, performance validation, automation development, lab testing, and field trials in multi-vendor environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor''s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience. ORMaster''s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience. ORPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform end-to-end System, Performance, Scalability, Stability, and Interoperability Testing of 5G-Advanced and next-generation 6G technologies and solutions.
- Bring up and manage complex E2E testbeds involving UE, RAN, Core, SMO, and RIC components.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks for test execution and reporting.
- Create and execute test plans with traceability to product requirements and features.
- Analyze logs, protocol traces, and KPIs to perform debugging and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Development, Product Management, and Program Management teams.
- Participate in lab validations, interoperability events, and field trials.
- Open to domestic and international travel for testing, interoperability, and deployment activities.





Required Skills

- 3-12 years of experience in 5G system integration and testing.
- Strong understanding of 3GPP specifications, 5G procedures, and call flows.
- Strong understanding of Open RAN architecture and ecosystem, including RU, CU/DU split architecture, SMO, Near-RT/Non-RT RIC, xApps, rApps, RU, and RFFE components.
- Experience in E2E system bring-up and multi-vendor integration.
- Proficiency in Python-based test automation.
- Familiarity with ADB/AT commands for UE control.
- Strong knowledge of 5G NR protocols including PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, and RRC.
- Experience with test tools such as Viavi, Keysight, Spirent, or Anritsu.
- Working knowledge of QXDM and related Qualcomm diagnostic tools for troubleshooting, protocol analysis, and root cause investigations.
- Experience in 10G/100G Ethernet switching, network configuration, routing, VLANs, and traffic troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of AI inferencing frameworks, MLOps workflows, and AI/ML-driven test automation methodologies.
- Experience with Kubernetes, cloud-native deployments, and CI/CD environments.

Education

- Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Electronics Communication, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.

Preferred

- Exposure to AI/ML-based analytics and intelligent test automation.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Knowledge of cloud-native telecom deployments and observability frameworks.
- Robust analytical, debugging, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
