Role Description The State Head (Vehicle Finance) is a full-time, on-site role based in Bhubaneswar, responsible for leading and expanding the vehicle finance business across the assigned state. This role includes overseeing branch operations, driving sales growth, and managing a team to achieve disbursement, portfolio quality, and profitability targets.

The State

Head will monitor market trends, develop state-level strategies, and ensure efficient implementation of vehicle finance products and policies. Daily tasks include reviewing financial performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines, coordinating with credit, collections, and operations teams, and maintaining strong relationships with dealers, partners, and key customers.



The role also involves regular reporting to senior leadership, mentoring team members, and implementing process improvements to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong finance and budgeting skills, with experience in planning, monitoring, and optimizing state-level financial performance.
- Candidates should possess expertise in financial statements and financial reporting, including the ability to interpret performance data and prepare management reports.
- Candidates should possess advanced analytical skills to assess portfolio quality, market trends, and business risks in the vehicle finance segment.
- Proven experience in vehicle finance or auto loans, preferably in an NBFC or banking environment, with a track record in sales, operations, and team management.
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities, including the ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners such as dealers and distributors.
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management practices related to retail lending and asset finance.
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in Finance, Business, Management, or a related field; professional certifications in finance or credit will be an added advantage.
