Job Title: Stamping Die Designer

Experience : 8 to 10 years

Location: Chennai 1

Notice Period : Immediate to 30 days

Qualification : B-Tech/B.E./ Diploma - Mechanical engg /Tool & Die making NTTF

Purpose of the Role

Create detailed designs (Cutting and non Cutting) used in manufacturing processes adhering to the Standards.

Participate in design reviews and provide insights to improve design quality and efficiency

Prepare and maintain technical documentation and specifications for die projects

Test die designs and make necessary modifications based on feedback and testing results

Troubleshoot and solve problems that arise during the design and production processes

Job Responsibilities

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, UG NX/CATIA)UG NX Being the first preference.

Strong understanding of stamping die design principles and manufacturing processes.

Knowledge of material properties and their impact on die design.

Ability to analyze complex designs and identify potential issues especially Standard and Non std Cam Die designs(All OP)

Strong Knowledge of Strip Layout of Different Panels and Optimizing for best results in design.





Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Moderate Surface design skills to assist the Design components

Good knowledge about G1 Panel Dies and Trouble shooting.

Cam Diagram and Various Force calculations associated with Designs.

Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work well in a team environment and Shifts to meet Global expectations.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers, production staff, and quality assurance.

Technical

Should Worked in Automobile OEM in process engineering or Tool Design Team.

Catia/UG NX Parametric Design Knowledge .UG NX Being the first preference.

Hands on experience on Any PLM(Enovia/Team center)

Well Experienced with Stamping shop Metrology- Checking fixtures CMM m/c

Thorough Knowledge on Manufacturing process.

Should be able to review Die designs from External suppliers.

Process Optimization Skills.
