About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ESRI GIS Developer / GIS DevOps Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, Python/ArcPy, enterprise geodatabases, and GitHub Actions. The role focuses on automating GIS deployment workflows across Development, Test, and Production environments. The candidate will work on GIS service publishing, geodatabase schema management, and configuration-driven DevOps automation.

The role involves designing and implementing GitHub-based CI/CD workflows for GIS applications and services. The candidate will automate deployment of GIS artifacts, manage source-controlled scripts and configuration files, and support environment-specific deployment processes.

The position also requires strong Python and ArcPy development skills to automate ArcGIS Pro processing, map service publishing, Portal updates, validation, and geodatabase schema management. The candidate will support controlled promotion of GIS changes across Development, Test, and Production environments with appropriate logging, validation, rollback, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for GIS automation.
- Develop reusable Python and ArcPy scripts for GIS administration and deployment.
- Automate ArcGIS Pro project processing and map service publishing to ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Manage service publishing, overwrites, Portal item updates,



validation, and rollback workflows.
- Automate geodatabase schema comparison and controlled deployment of schema changes.
- Maintain GIS automation scripts, configuration, and deployment packages in GitHub.
- Implement logging, exception handling, parameterization, and deployment reporting.
- Support GIS deployments across Development, Test, and Production environments.
