Job Summary

Software Engineer (5+ years) - Core Engineer 2. 5+ years work experience in IBM-DB2, COBOL, IMS-DB with experience in ETL and GCP tools.

Experience in GCP Astronomer and Big Query will be an added advantage. Employees in this job function are responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining software applications and products to meet customer needs. They are involved in the entire software development lifecycle including designing software architecture, writing code, testing for quality and deploying the software to meet customer requirements.

Full-stack software engineering roles, who can develop all components of software including user interface and server side also fall within this job function.

Responsibilities

- Should be able to support the System Operations (247) for high critical applications, such as SAVE, SOVID and GLOVE support and Application Maintenance of the mainframe / GCP based application (SAVE and SOVID), running in IBM DB2, COBOL, IMS-DB, JCL and IMS Transactions

- As a Senior Mainframe Developer, should take complete ownership of the application monitoring and Production support activities.

- Work with business to understand functional and system requirements to deliver any enhancements.

- Should play active role in Modernizing the Mainframe application into GCP platform, ensuring data integrity and designing for scalability and performance.





- Has to follow the PDO IT solution delivery methodology processes within the GDIA organization and should adhere to security processes and support them on assigned applications.

- Able to work on the provide production support of the applications in the defined SLA or CSF/ CTQs and should quickly act on the production incidents/ job abends and resolve them.

- Able to monitor the daily/ weekly/ monthly jobs and support issues as required.

- Co-ordinate with Business and team and with the end users team for details on tasks and provides status to portfolio review meeting etc.

- Data Governance and Security: Implement and maintain SoX, data governance and security best practices within the GCP workplace, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Experience

- Experience Required: Engineer 2; Exp.: Practitioner: 1 coding language or framework; 4+ years in IT; 3+ years in development

- Experience Preferred: Experience in GCP, Biq Query, Astronomer and exp in any ETL technology

Education

- Education Required: Bachelor's Degree
