About the Role

We are looking for a Social Media Intern who is obsessed with content, understands how Instagram and LinkedIn work, and can turn ideas into content people actually want to watch.

You will work directly with the founder and be involved in the entire content process, from finding ideas and planning the content calendar to shooting, editing, publishing and analysing performance.

This is not a role where you will simply schedule posts or manage an Instagram page. You will have significant ownership of the content engine.

What You Will Do

1. Video Editing

- Edit Instagram Reels, LinkedIn videos, Youtube long-form and short form videos
- Turn raw footage into engaging, fast paced and visually compelling videos
- Add captions, hooks, B roll, graphics, transitions, sound effects and music ONLY where appropriate
- Understand pacing, retention and storytelling in short form video
- Repurpose long form content into multiple short form pieces
- Continuously improve editing based on what performs well

Strong video editing skills are one of the most important requirements for this role. 2. Content Strategy

- Understand the target audience and what they are interested in
- Research trending topics, formats, hooks and content styles
- Identify opportunities for new content
- Suggest topics rather than waiting for instructions
- Understand why certain content works and why certain content does not
- Help develop a consistent content strategy across Instagram and LinkedIn

3. Content Planning

- Maintain and execute the weekly content calendar




- Plan Reels, carousels, LinkedIn posts and other content formats
- Convert one idea into multiple pieces of content
- Coordinate scripts, shooting, editing and publishing
- Ensure content is published consistently and on time

4. Content Research

- Research finance, taxation, business, startups, investing and entrepreneurship topics
- Track relevant news and developments
- Identify interesting stories that can be converted into content
- Study creators and pages doing exceptionally well in the finance and business space
- Bring new ideas and formats to the table

5. Analytics and Optimisation

- Track views, watch time, retention, shares, saves, comments and follower growth
- Understand what is driving performance
- Analyse successful and unsuccessful content
- Use data to improve future content
- Maintain simple weekly content performance reports

What We Are Looking For You will be a great fit if you:

- Have strong video editing skills
- Understand Instagram Reels and short form content
- Have a good eye for visual storytelling
- Understand hooks, retention and pacing
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Are naturally curious about business, finance and current affairs




- Can think of content ideas independently
- Are comfortable using Canva and video editing software
- Understand Instagram and LinkedIn beyond simply scrolling through them
- Are willing to experiment and learn quickly
- Have a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail

Tools such as Edits and Canva or similar are a plus.

You will work closely with a Chartered Accountant and finance content creator who creates content around tax, investing, startups, business, valuation, wealth and entrepreneurship.

Important

We are not looking for someone who simply follows instructions.

If you actively consume content, constantly notice what makes a Reel go viral and genuinely want to understand and be involved with finance content hands-on, you will enjoy this role.
