Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Windows Administrator with strong expertise in endpoint management (SCCM), monitoring (SCOM), OS imaging, vulnerability remediation, and cloud-based virtual machine operations. This role will be responsible for managing enterprise Windows environments across on-premises and cloud-hosted virtual machines, ensuring secure, compliant, and highly available infrastructure supporting global operations.

Key Responsibilities

Windows Server & Endpoint Administration

- Administer and support Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) across enterprise infrastructure
- Manage and troubleshoot Windows OS, system services, registry, and local security policies
- Provide advanced L2/L3 support for server and endpoint-related issues

SCCM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager)

- Design, implement, and manage SCCM infrastructure
- Create, manage, and deploy:
- OS images (gold images) and task sequences

- Application packaging and deployments
- Patch management and software updates
- Monitor and troubleshoot SCCM client health and distribution issues
- Automate deployments and compliance reporting

SCOM & Monitoring

- Configure and support SCOM (System Center Operations Manager)

- Develop monitoring strategies for
- Servers, applications, and infrastructure components
- Create dashboards, alerts, and thresholds for proactive issue detection
- Perform root cause analysis using monitoring and alerting tools

Cloud & Virtual Machine Management

- Manage and support Windows workloads on cloud-based virtual machines (Azure preferred)
- Provision, configure, and maintain cloud VMs and hybrid environments
- Troubleshoot issues across IaaS cloud platforms including compute, storage, and networking layers
- Support cloud migrations and modernization initiatives

Vulnerability Management & Security

- Identify, assess,



and remediate security vulnerabilities using enterprise tools

- Perform

- Patch compliance enforcement
- Security hardening and baseline enforcement
- Work with security teams to ensure compliance with audit and governance standards

Imaging & Automation

- Create, maintain, and optimize standard OS images for enterprise deployment
- Automate manual processes using PowerShell and scripting tools
- Standardize deployment practices for consistency and scalability

Performance & Troubleshooting

- Diagnose and resolve issues related to:
- System performance, CPU, memory, disk, and network
- Use event logs, monitoring tools, and system diagnostics for deep troubleshooting
- Ensure high system availability and reliability

Collaboration & Operations

- Participate in incident, problem, and change management (ITIL framework)
- Collaborate with cloud, network, security, and application teams
- Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation
- Support on-call rotations and planned maintenance activities

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in Windows system administration
- Strong hands-on expertise in:

- Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
- SCCM (Configuration Manager) OS deployment, patching, packaging

- SCOM monitoring and alerting
- OS Imaging and task sequence management
- Vulnerability remediation and patch compliance
- Experience managing cloud-based virtual machines (Azure preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure and OS layers

- Experience with

- PowerShell scripting and automation

- Enterprise monitoring tools

- Good understanding of

- Networking fundamentals

- Security best practices

- ITIL processes

Preferred Qualifications

- Microsoft certifications (Windows Server, SCCM, Azure)

- Experience with
- Azure Monitor / Log Analytics
- Endpoint security tools (Defender, Qualys, etc.)

- Hybrid infrastructure environments
- Exposure to Intune / contemporary endpoint management (optional but valuable)
