About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Data Modelling Architect to support integrated data solutions within AstraZeneca R&D.; The role focuses on Oracle databases, conceptual and logical data modelling, 3NF, data governance, and data quality. The candidate will collaborate with Data Analysts, Solution Architects, Information Architects, and business data governance teams.

The role involves designing and maintaining conceptual and logical data models and applying data modelling standards across IT projects and data governance activities. You will work extensively with Oracle databases, SQL/PLSQL, database optimization, and data modelling tools.

You will also analyze complex datasets, establish data flows and supporting artefacts, ensure data accuracy and integrity, and build strong knowledge of business data within the AstraZeneca R&D; environment. The position also involves identifying opportunities for process improvement and communicating technical information effectively to business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and support Oracle databases, including schema design, storage, performance monitoring, and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain conceptual and logical data models using 3NF principles.
- Define and apply data modelling standards across projects and governance processes.
- Develop data flows, CRUD matrices, process models, and other data-related artefacts.
- Analyze datasets to identify trends, anomalies, data gaps, and business insights.
- Perform data validation and quality checks to maintain accuracy, consistency, completeness, and integrity.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts, Solution Architects,



Information Architects, and data governance teams.
- Identify opportunities for process and data-related improvements.

- Strong exposure to the IT project lifecycle
- Life Sciences domain experience
- Ability to communicate technical information in business language
- Dimensional Data Modeling

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have 7–11 years of relevant experience with strong expertise in Oracle databases, data modelling, SQL/PLSQL, and data governance.
