NeuroDrift — Senior Software Engineer (Remote · Immediate joiners only)

NeuroDrift is a US-based AI voice and enterprise software company. We're hiring a hands-on senior engineer to lead development on a new data annotation platform for an enterprise client, end to end.

This is a build role, not a maintenance role. You'll own real scope from day one and you're expected to ship in week one, not month three.

What you'll do

- Lead development on a large, high-stakes platform from architecture through delivery
- Build the frontend in React and TypeScript, the backend in Python
- Design PostgreSQL schemas and write the queries that make them fast
- Integrate and extend a third-party open-source tool over its REST API and webhooks, and build the platform layer around it
- Build the workflow engine: task distribution, review and approval loops, role-based access, audit trails and delivery pipelines
- Handle large volumes of files — ingest, validation, deduplication, storage and export
- Own deployment and infrastructure on AWS for what you ship
- Sit in client meetings, present your approach, and defend your technical decisions

What we need

- 3+ years building production software, primarily full stack
- Solid React and TypeScript on the frontend, strong Python on the backend
- Real PostgreSQL depth — schema design, indexing, query optimisation, migrations




- AWS you can operate, not just deploy to: EC2, S3, RDS, load balancing, DNS, TLS
- Comfortable with Docker and Linux, and able to debug a system you didn't build
- Experience integrating third-party APIs into a product
- Self-directed enough to be productive without a spec or a ticket queue

Preferred

- Built a product on top of an open-source tool — extending it rather than rewriting it
- Authentication, session handling, RBAC or multi-tenant SaaS
- Data pipelines, file ingest, validation, or ETL-style work
- Computer vision or ML data tooling — annotation, dataset management, training pipelines
- Workflow or approval-driven products where state and audit trails matter
- Client-facing or consulting experience

How we work

You'll have Claude Code from day one. We're an AI-native team and we expect you to use AI tooling to ship faster, not to work around it.

The setup

- Fully remote
- High intensity: 50–60 hours a week. Startup pace, not a 9-to-5
- Primarily IST, with availability for US client calls
- Immediate joiners only — non-negotiable
- This is for you if you take ownership instead of waiting for tickets, and you'd rather ship and iterate than polish a spec. If you want heavy structure and direction, this isn't it.
