Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior Quality Assurance Manager to lead the organizations quality management, accreditation, audit, compliance, and continual improvement activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving integrated management systems aligned with ISO/IEC 17020, ISO/IEC 17021-1, ISO/IEC 17065, and other applicable standards. The role will lead accreditation activities, internal audits, management reviews, corrective actions, quality documentation, and quality team management.

The position will also work closely with senior management, technical teams, clients, regulators, accreditation bodies, suppliers, and business development teams while ensuring impartiality, confidentiality, competence, and accreditation compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, maintain, and continually improve the organizations integrated quality management system in line with applicable ISO/IEC standards.
- Ensure quality processes and controls comply with accreditation, statutory, contractual, regulatory, and business requirements across all locations and service areas.
- Coordinate and support initial accreditation, surveillance assessments, reassessments, scope extensions, renewals, and empanelment activities.
- Serve as a key point of contact with accreditation, approval, certification, and empanelment bodies, including UKAS, SCC, NABCB, RDSO, and equivalent organizations.
- Develop and implement annual internal audit programmes and lead internal audits as a qualified Lead Auditor.
- Prepare audit plans, conduct audits, issue audit reports, identify non-conformities, and monitor corrective actions through to effective closure.
- Plan and facilitate management review meetings, prepare review materials, document decisions, and track agreed actions.
- Manage non-conformities, observations, complaints, and findings raised by internal and external auditors, clients, regulators, and accreditation bodies.
- Coordinate root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, closure evidence, and effectiveness verification.
- Develop, review, approve, and control quality manuals, policies, procedures, work instructions, forms, templates, registers, and other controlled documents.
- Lead and coordinate the Quality Management Team, allocate responsibilities, monitor performance,



and ensure timely delivery of quality activities.
- Establish and maintain controls relating to personnel competence, authorization, impartiality, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, document control, and records management.
- Monitor quality objectives, KPIs, audit trends, risks, client feedback, complaints, and continual improvement initiatives.
- Develop and deliver quality, accreditation, audit, compliance, and management-system training to employees and relevant stakeholders.
- Support client training, technical meetings, supplier assessments, tender preparation, business development, and client engagements while maintaining quality and impartiality requirements.
- Provide regular quality and accreditation reports to senior management, highlighting performance, risks, gaps, corrective actions, and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant quality management experience , including at least 5 years in a senior quality management position .
- Demonstrable experience managing or maintaining accredited systems based on ISO/IEC 17020 and either ISO/IEC 17021-1 or ISO/IEC 17065.
- Recognized Lead Auditor qualification with practical experience planning, conducting, reporting, and closing audits.
- Proven experience coordinating accreditation assessments, scope extensions, surveillance assessments, reassessments, and closure of accreditation findings.
- Strong experience developing and controlling quality manuals, policies, procedures, forms, registers, and management-system documentation.
- Experience leading quality teams and coordinating cross-functional quality activities.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 19011, risk management, root cause analysis, corrective action, document control,



and competence management.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, leadership, and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Experience
- Direct experience working with UKAS, SCC, NABCB, RDSO, or other recognized accreditation/empanelment bodies.
- Experience within railway, infrastructure, inspection, testing, certification, conformity assessment, assurance, or engineering consultancy environments.
- Experience managing quality and accreditation systems across multiple offices, countries, projects, or legal entities.
- Masters Degree, Chartered Quality Professional, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent qualified qualification.
- Experience supporting tenders, client audits, supplier assurance, quality training, and international business development.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working under deadlines, managing multiple accreditation and audit activities, and maintaining high standards of quality, impartiality, confidentiality, integrity, and regulatory compliance.
