Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python SDET to design, build, and lead scalable test automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python-based automation frameworks, API and UI testing, CI/CD integration, and test strategy development.

In this role, you will architect automation frameworks from scratch, drive continuous testing practices, ensure product quality, and mentor junior QA and automation engineers.

Key Responsibilities

? Test Automation Framework Development

- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reusable test automation frameworks using Python.
- Work with frameworks such as PyTest, Robot Framework, and unittest.
- Develop clean, maintainable, and reusable automation solutions.

? API & UI Automation Testing
- Automate testing for REST APIs and backend microservices using tools such as Requests or Aiohttp.
- Perform web and mobile automation using Selenium, Playwright, or Appium.
- Validate backend functionality and data using SQL.

? CI/CD & DevOps Integration
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and faster feedback.
- Work with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Utilize Docker, Linux, and Git branching workflows.

? Quality & Performance Testing
- Collaborate with developers to improve code quality and test coverage.
- Perform root-cause analysis for defects and automation failures.




- Develop performance and load testing scripts using tools such as Locust or JMeter.

? Leadership & Mentorship
- Define and drive overall test automation strategies.
- Conduct automation code reviews and promote best practices.
- Mentor junior QA and automation engineers.
- Collaborate effectively within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7–8 years of experience as an SDET, Automation Engineer, or Software Test Engineer.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python.
- Extensive experience with PyTest and/or unittest.
- Solid experience in building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright or Selenium for UI automation.
- Strong experience in API automation testing using Requests, Aiohttp, or similar libraries.
- Experience with REST APIs and Microservices testing.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Docker, Linux, and Git workflows.
- Strong SQL skills for backend and data validation.
- Experience with performance/load testing tools such as Locust or JMeter.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with BDD frameworks, such as Behave.
- Knowledge of Robot Framework.
- Exposure to Kubernetes.
- Experience with containerized test execution.
- Experience with mobile automation using Appium.
- Knowledge of test design patterns and automation best practices.
