What we are looking for:- We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Property Accountant with strong knowledge of US GAAP and real estate/property accounting . The role will be responsible for managing and reviewing accounting activities for a portfolio of real estate properties, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely month-end close, reconciliations, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager 7S , and the ability to independently manage property-level financial activities while supporting and mentoring junior team members.

Job Responsibilities

- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
- Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and applicable accounting policies.
- Perform depreciation calculations and prepare amortization schedules in accordance with US GAAP.
- Support the development and implementation of capitalization policies in accordance with relevant US GAAP/ASC requirements.
- Prepare and analyze property-level financial reports, budgets, and variance analyses.




- Review escrow closing statements and property purchase agreements and prepare appropriate initial accounting entries.
- Reconcile bank accounts, tenant ledgers, fixed assets, and balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare quarterly distribution calculations and management fee calculations.
- Coordinate with property management and other internal and external stakeholders regarding accounting and financial matters.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best accounting practices.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting team members as required.
- Manage multiple priorities and ensure timely completion of accounting and reporting deliverables.

Requirements ? CA, ACCA, or CPA (USA) – Mandatory. ? 4–5 years of experience in Property Accounting, Real Estate Accounting, or General Ledger Accounting. ? Robust and practical knowledge of US GAAP – Mandatory .

? Strong understanding of property accounting and real estate financial operations.

? Hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager 7S – Mandatory .

? Experience preparing financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial reports.

? Strong understanding of depreciation, amortization, and capitalization under US GAAP.

? Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

⚡ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

You Must Have ? Willingness to work in US time zone/EST shifts .

? 4–5 years of relevant Property/Real Estate/GL Accounting experience. ? Strong knowledge of US GAAP .

? Mandatory hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager 7S. ? CA, ACCA, or CPA (USA) qualification. ?️ Strong communication skills with clarity and professionalism.
