Responsibilities

Process

- Determine/ Update the annual production plan (capacity) keeping in view the parameters of machine lead time, manpower deployment, breakdown trends etc

- Co-ordinate sales & operating planning discussions as per laid guidelines; Formulate the monthly production plan based on the S&OP; planning and create weekly production plans in accordance with the monthly plan / budget

- Co-ordinate with Sub-function Head - Production to determine line load distribution based on the targeted weekly production plan

- Monitor the corrections to the production plans based on the differences between planned and actual production

- Accommodate ad hoc / emergency production requirements (from sales / projects teams), update production plans as directed by Head Module Manufacturing

- Assist Head- Module Manufacturing in ensuring seamless co-ordination between sales, projects, procurement and module manufacturing teams to ensure achievement of production target in line with the S&OP; plan

- Liaise with Production, Quality and Maintenance to ensure that master production schedule remains valid

- Ensure expedition of operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions

- Update/Maintain MIS data with respect to detailed production schedules (target vs. actual) for management reporting & review





- Plan for improvement in yield / capacity utilization by better production planning / scheduling of jobs

- Manage executive assistance responsibilities related to inter-intra department co-ordination, data collation, MIS maintenance etc for the Department Head

People

- Ensure timely goal setting, monitoring, review of performance parameters and feedback to the team members

- Ensure capability development of self and team members by actively participating and leveraging training & growth opportunities available including knowledge management initiatives

- Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent and competent authority
