Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager :Costing & Internal Audit to lead costing, financial analysis, internal audit, and process control activities across the hospital. The person will be responsible for identifying cost-saving opportunities, improving financial controls, monitoring operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with internal policies.

Candidates with robust experience in the hospital/healthcare industry will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Costing & Cost Control

- Develop and maintain costing models for hospital services, procedures, departments, and specialties.
- Analyse departmental and service-line costs and identify areas of cost improvement.
- Monitor actual costs against budgets and identify major variances.
- Prepare cost analysis for surgeries, procedures, diagnostics, pharmacy, OT, ICU and other clinical services.
- Work closely with clinical and operational teams to improve cost efficiency.
- Identify areas of leakage, wastage, and unnecessary expenditure.
- Support management in pricing and profitability analysis for various hospital services.

Internal Audit

- Lead the internal audit function across hospital operations and support functions.
- Prepare annual internal audit plans based on business risks.
- Conduct audits of revenue, billing, procurement, inventory, pharmacy, payroll, expenses, cash management and other key areas.
- Review processes and identify control gaps, financial leakages and compliance issues.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Coordinate with external auditors and management whenever required.

MIS & Financial Analysis





- Prepare regular MIS and management reports related to costing, profitability and operational performance.
- Analyse revenue, margins, expenses and departmental performance.
- Develop dashboards and reports to support management decision-making.
- Provide management with actionable insights based on financial and operational data.

Process & Controls

- Review existing SOPs and financial processes and suggest improvements.
- Strengthen internal financial controls across hospital units.
- Ensure proper authorization and documentation of financial transactions.
- Identify process gaps and recommend corrective measures.
- Support implementation of best practices across hospitals/business units.

Business Partnering

- Work closely with Finance, Operations, Procurement, Clinical, Pharmacy, Diagnostics and other departments.
- Provide financial inputs for new projects, services and expansion plans.
- Support management in evaluating profitability and cost implications of business decisions.

Candidate Profile
- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in Costing, Internal Audit, Finance, MIS and Financial Analysis.
- CA / ICWA (CMA) qualification is mandatory.
- Experience in the hospital/healthcare industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of costing, internal controls, audit processes and financial analysis.
- Experience in analysing hospital/service-line profitability will be an added advantage.
- Strong Excel and MIS skills; experience with ERP/HIS systems preferred.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
