About Us

Established in Delhi in 2001 and operating in Bhubaneswar since 2014, Kalky Interior is the interior design and turnkey execution arm of Kalky Group. Kitzine Modular Kitchen Studio specialises in modular kitchens, wardrobes and customised home-storage solutions.

Together, Kalky Interior and Kitzine provide integrated residential interior design, turnkey execution and modular furniture solutions.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Interior Designer who will join as a Business Partner from the initial stage and take complete operating ownership of Kalky Interior and Kitzine in Bhubaneswar.

This is not a conventional senior designer position. The selected professional will be responsible for the entire business, including design, project execution, modular furniture, sales, client management, team building, revenue, profitability and long-term growth.

The partner will have full operational authority. During the initial transition, major strategic, financial and organisational decisions will be taken jointly with Kalky Group leadership. The partner will subsequently assume increasing independence in managing day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead premium residential interior projects from concept development to final handover.
- Conduct client meetings, understand requirements and present design concepts and commercial proposals.
- Convert qualified enquiries into profitable interior and modular furniture projects.
- Develop and approve space plans, mood boards, material palettes and design presentations.
- Prepare and review execution-ready layouts, elevations, sections, joinery details, ceiling plans, electrical plans and lighting plans.
- Establish structured AutoCAD practices, including layering, blocks, XREF coordination and revision control.
- Apply strong knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, hardware, lighting and modular systems.
- Oversee project costing, BOQs, procurement, schedules, execution,



quality control and final handover.
- Coordinate designers, contractors, vendors, suppliers and modular production teams.
- Conduct regular site visits and resolve technical or execution-related challenges.
- Lead Kitzine’s modular kitchen, wardrobe and customised furniture business.
- Build and manage the design, sales and execution teams required for business growth.
- Establish systems for enquiries, proposals, design approvals, project tracking, billing and collections.
- Develop relationships with homeowners, architects, consultants, developers and referral partners.
- Collaborate with Kalky Infra to serve the interior requirements of its homebuyers.
- Take responsibility for revenue, project margins, collections, profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Provide transparent business and project-performance reports to Kalky Group leadership.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should have:
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in residential interior design.
- Experience in a senior design, studio leadership, project leadership or business leadership role.
- A strong portfolio of premium residential interior projects completed from concept to handover.
- Advanced AutoCAD proficiency and excellent knowledge of working drawings and construction detailing.
- Practical knowledge of turnkey execution, modular furniture, materials, hardware and site coordination.
- Experience in project costing, BOQs, procurement, budget control and profitability.
- Strong client-presentation, negotiation and project-conversion skills.
- Proven experience leading designers, vendors, contractors and execution teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to accept complete responsibility for business outcomes.
- High personal integrity and a long-term ownership mindset.





Experience with a reputed interior design or architecture firm in Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, Mumbai or Kolkata will be preferred.

The candidate must be based in Bhubaneswar or willing to relocate and work full-time from Bhubaneswar. Candidates with primarily freelance or remote experience, without comparable team leadership and site-execution exposure, may not be suitable.

Compensation and Partnership The selected candidate will receive:

- Fixed salary of ₹5–8 LPA

- A confirmed partnership opportunity from the initial stage

The selected qualified will function as the operating owner of Kalky Interior and Kitzine’s Bhubaneswar businesses.

The detailed partnership structure, ownership participation, profit-sharing, decision-making authority, responsibilities and commercial terms will be mutually agreed upon and formally documented with the selected candidate.

Minimum Commitment

This is a long-term business ownership opportunity. Candidates must be prepared to make a minimum commitment of two years.
