Job Objective To handle all electrical maintenance activities of the company and ensure smooth, safe and uninterrupted operation of CNC, VMC, 1 MT Press Machine, Forging Hammer and other plant electrical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical Maintenance
- Handle complete electrical maintenance activities of the plant.
- Attend electrical breakdowns and ensure quick restoration of machines.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot motors, control panels, sensors, contactors, relays, MCB/MCCB, starters, drives and electrical wiring.
- Maintain electrical panels and ensure proper housekeeping inside electrical areas.
1. CNC & VMC Maintenance
- Electrical troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC and VMC machines.
- Check and troubleshoot machine control panels, drives, sensors, motors and electrical circuits.
- Coordinate with machine suppliers/OEMs for major electrical faults.
- Maintain proper records of CNC/VMC electrical breakdowns.
- Press & Forging Hammer Maintenance
- Handle electrical maintenance of 1 MT Press Machine and Forging Hammer.
- Troubleshoot motors, control systems, sensors, limit switches and related electrical components.
- Ensure safe and reliable operation of press and forging equipment.
1. Preventive Maintenance
- Follow the preventive maintenance schedule for all electrical equipment.
- Identify potential electrical failures before breakdown
- Maintain PM checklists and machine history records.
- Ensure timely replacement of critical electrical components.
Safety.
- Follow LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures during maintenance.
- Ensure electrical safety standards are followed.
- Use appropriate PPE and tools during electrical work.
- Ensure proper earthing and electrical safety of machines.
Team & Daily Activities
- Coordinate with Maintenance Head and Production Department.
- Attend shift-wise breakdown calls.
- Guide electricians and technicians during maintenance activities.
- Maintain proper shift handover and breakdown reports.
- Ensure availability of critical electrical spares.
Required Skills
- Solid electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in CNC & VMC electrical maintenance.
- Experience with press machines and forging hammers.
- Knowledge of motors, drives, sensors, PLC, control panels and electrical circuits.
- Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ability to read electrical drawings.
- Good problem-solving and team-handling skills.
