Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, architecture, and optimization of enterprise-scale data platforms on Snowflake. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive best practices across engineering teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Architect end-to-end data platforms on Snowflake, including database design, warehouse strategy, and cost governance
- Design and implement complex ELT/ETL pipelines using Python, Snowpark, and orchestration frameworks (Airflow, dbt)
- Define and enforce data modeling standards (Star Schema, Data Vault, dimensional modeling)
- Lead performance tuning initiatives — clustering strategies, query optimization, micro-partition management
- Design and implement data security frameworks — RBAC, row-level security, agile data masking, network policies
- Establish CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment of data workflows
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; conduct design/code reviews and enforce engineering best practices
- Partner with architects, product managers,



and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Evaluate and adopt new Snowflake capabilities (Snowpark, Dynamic Tables, Cortex, Streams/Tasks) to modernize the platform
- Own incident management, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery planning
- Drive cost optimization initiatives — monitor credit consumption, right-size warehouses, implement resource monitors
- Provide technical leadership across multiple projects and cross-functional teams

Required Skills:

- 7–10 years of experience in data engineering, with 4+ years in Snowflake
- Expert-level SQL and Python skills
- Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and cost optimization
- Strong experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt) and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with data governance, security frameworks, and compliance requirements
- Proven leadership/mentoring experience
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
