Job Purpose

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the Engineering DRIVE team for development of data-driven solutions, automation initiatives, analytics platforms, and internal digital products that enhance operational efficiency and business performance.

The role will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, IT, and business stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions while supporting IndiGo's digital transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Solutions & Automation

- Develop and implement digital solutions to address business and operational challenges.
- Translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable technology solutions.
- Automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency through technology-driven initiatives.
- Support the complete lifecycle of digital products, from requirement gathering through deployment and continuous improvement.

Data Engineering & Analytics
- Build and maintain reliable data pipelines, models, and data assets for business use.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, integrity, and governance across solutions.
- Enable actionable insights through scalable reporting and analytical capabilities.

Technology & Innovation
- Develop solutions that integrate data, processes, and enterprise systems.
- Contribute to digital transformation initiatives across Engineering and Operations.
- Explore emerging technologies and intelligent automation opportunities to improve business processes.

Qualifications & Skills Required





- Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, Software Development, Business Intelligence, Automation, or Digital Transformation.
- Proven experience in developing and deploying production-grade data, analytics, automation, or digital solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to independently deliver end-to-end solutions, from requirement gathering and design to deployment and business adoption.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders to drive technologically enabled business improvements.
- Qualified certifications in Data Engineering, Cloud Platforms, Business Intelligence, Automation, Generative AI, or related technologies will be preferred.
