Role & responsibilities

Essential Job Responsibilities:

- Oversee administration of Citrix XenApp & XenDesktop environments, including PVS, MCS, WEM, SF, Compliance & Citrix hardening, Citrix licensing, Citrix Cloud, image hardening, ADM, Tanium and NetScaler.

- Very good understanding in VMware infrastructure, including ESX and ESXi management, XenServer, Hyper-V.

- Implement automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) for routine tasks, patching, and performance optimization.

- Utilize AI-driven tools for predictive monitoring, capacity planning, and anomaly detection.

- Monitor and optimize system performance using Citrix Director, Liquid ware, SolarWinds, Dynatrace.

- Integrate third-party systems and applications to meet business requirements.

- Support data center operations, including hardware installation and troubleshooting.

- Work with security and monitoring tools such as CrowdStrike, Qualys, Zscaler, Splunk, MFA, Tanium, and Workspace ONE.

- Drive process improvements and automation in ITIL-based workflows (Incident, Change, Problem Management).

- Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

- Provide L2/L3 Citrix support and mentor junior team members.

- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and configuration records.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (network, storage, application, database) to fulfil Citrix requirements.

- Perform certificate deployment and renewal tasks.

- Support ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and Jira.

- Participate in 24x7 support rotations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.



Each weekend needs to perform Citrix maintenance.

Preferred candidate profile

- 6--- 10 years of experience in Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, Citrix Cloud, VMware, NetScaler and Windows Server environments.

- Strong troubleshooting skills in NetScaler, VAD, WEM, any issues in Citrix infrastructure.

- Expertise in Citrix farm management, session handling, printer management, and application publishing/decommissioning, GPO, image hardening etc.

- Strong knowledge of PVS, MCS, profile management solutions, and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.

- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell /Python) for automation and orchestration.

- Solid understanding of Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows 10/11 thin client environments.

- Experience with SCCM, Tanium, NetScaler, and MFA solutions (OKTA, RSA).

- Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.

- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or in a team workplace.

- Experience with AI-driven monitoring and analytics tools for predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and capacity planning.

- Ability to develop automated workflows and orchestration scripts to reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiency.

- Strong understanding of automation frameworks and integration with IT processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management) to streamline operations.

- Citrix Certified Associate (CCA-V) or Citrix Certified Professional (CCP-V) preferred.
