Role DescriptionThe Senior Architect is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The role involves leading architectural projects from concept development through detailed design, documentation, coordination, and execution.

The Senior Architect will oversee project planning, manage timelines and deliverables, coordinate with engineering and construction teams, and guide junior architects and designers in maintaining high standards of design and documentation.

Key responsibilities include meeting clients to understand project requirements, developing design concepts and proposals, preparing presentations and detailed drawings, reviewing site conditions, coordinating with structural and MEP consultants, and ensuring that designs meet functional, aesthetic,



regulatory, technical, and sustainability requirements.

The role also requires close collaboration with project managers, contractors, consultants, and clients to support efficient execution, quality control, and successful project delivery from concept to completion.

Qualifications

- Minimum Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree from an accredited institution. A Master’s degree in Architecture or related field is an advantage.
- Strong foundation in architecture and architectural design, with experience leading projects from concept through completion.
- Proven ability in project management, including planning, scheduling, deliverable management, stakeholder coordination, and risk management.
- Ability to coordinate and integrate architectural design with structural, MEP, and other technical disciplines.
- Proficiency in relevant digital design and documentation tools, including CAD, BIM, 3D modelling, rendering, and project collaboration platforms.
- Experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, or institutional projects, preferably within the Chennai or South India context.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, standards, approval processes, and sustainable design practices.
- Strong visual, spatial, and design communication skills, with the ability to present concepts and technical solutions clearly to clients and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of architectural detailing, construction documentation, materials, and site execution.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities, with the ability to guide junior team members and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Professional registration/licensure with the Council of Architecture (CoA) is preferred.
