Role Description The Senior Admission Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida, responsible for guiding prospective students through their higher education decision-making journey. This role involves engaging with students and families via in-person meetings, phone calls, and digital channels to understand their goals, explain program options, and clarify admissions processes.

The counselor will present Compare Degree’s offerings, support users in comparing institutions and programs, and help them interpret data on costs, courses, and career outcomes. Daily tasks include maintaining accurate records of interactions, following up with leads, collaborating with internal teams to improve counseling resources, and contributing to outreach activities such as info sessions and events.

Counselor is expected to model best practices, mentor junior counselors, and provide feedback on tools and content that enhance the student experience.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Communication and general Communication skills to effectively engage with diverse student populations and stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to provide responsive, empathetic, and solution-oriented support throughout the admissions exploration process.
- Candidates should possess Sales skills to ethically present program options, manage leads, and guide prospective students toward suitable choices without pressure.
- Candidates should possess Education-related experience or knowledge, such as familiarity with higher education systems, admissions processes, or academic advising.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in counseling or student services, proficiency with CRM or admissions software, solid organizational and follow-up skills, and the ability to analyze and explain data in a clear, student-friendly way.
- A bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Business, Psychology, or a related field is preferred, along with prior experience in admissions, edtech, or higher education advisory roles.
