As part of the Solutions & Technology Team, you will support technology initiatives for Shoppers Stop and GSSB. The team operates in a collaborative, performance-driven environment, working closely with multiple business functions including Buying & Merchandising, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and IT.

Position

SAP MM Consultant (Retail)

Experience

- Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience of Retail Industry, preferably in SAP IS-Retail environment
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations, support, enhancements, and rollout projects
- Strong understanding of Retail Supply Chain and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes
- Experience working with cross-functional SAP modules such as SD, FI and CAR
- Exposure to SAP IS-Retail processes including Article & Vendor Master, Assortment Management, Pricing Procedures and Merchandise Procurement

Key Responsibilities

SAP MM Functional Support & Enhancements

- SAP IS-Retail experience preferred with Knowledge of:
- Procurement Lifecycle
- Inventory Management
- Vendor Management
- Store Replenishment
- Merchandise Procurement
- Assortment Planning
- Allocation Management
- Understanding of retail supply chain operations
- Work on integration with SD, FI, and Retail-specific business processes
- Ensure accurate master data and process compliance across systems
- Configure and maintain SAP MM functionalities including:
- Purchasing




- Inventory Management
- Goods Receipt & Goods Issue
- Invoice Verification
- Vendor Master Management
- Release Strategies
- Pricing Procedures
- Stock Transfers
- Replenishment
- Provide day-to-day support for SAP MM processes across retail operations.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve SAP MM-related business and system issues.
- Manage incidents, service requests, problem management, and change requests within defined SLAs.
- Support business users in procurement, inventory management, goods movement, invoice verification, and vendor management processes.

Business Process Consulting

- Work closely with Buying & Merchandising, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Store Operations, and Finance teams to understand business requirements.
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements and prepare Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) and BRDs.
- Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities within SAP MM and retail supply chain operations.
- Support implementation of new business processes and system enhancements.

Technical & Professional Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in requirement gathering and business process mapping
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Ability to perform impact assessment and solution design
- Vendor management and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a quick-paced retail environment

Preferred Qualifications

- SAP MM Certification
- Must have 1 E2E SAP S/4HANA implementation
- Experience in SAP Upgrade Project
- Exposure to SAP CAR and SAP SD
- Experience in organized retail industry

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Post Graduate Degree/Diploma preferred
- SAP MM Certification would be an added advantage
