SAP Full Stack – CAP Developer

(Node.js / Java + SAP Fiori/UI5)

Role Summary

- We are seeking a skilled SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) Developer

with solid SAP Fiori/UI5 experience to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade cloud applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
- The role focuses on building cloud-native backend services using CAP with Node.js or

Java, developing SAP Fiori user interfaces, and deploying applications on SAP BTP Cloud Foundry or Neo runtimes in alignment with SAP Clean Core principles.

Mandatory Experience

- Back end: Candidates must have strong prior hands-on development experience in

either Node.js or Java, including backend service development, business logic implementation, and REST-based API design.
- Front end: Candidates must have experience with design and development of Front end

Apps using SAP Fiori / UI5.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop backend services using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model

(CAP).
- Develop SAP Fiori/UI5 applications consuming CAP-based OData or REST services.
- Implement service logic, validations, and integrations following cloud-native and

domain-driven design principles.
- Ensure application scalability, security, and performance on SAP BTP runtimes.
- Collaborate with architects, functional teams, and DevOps teams across the full SDLC.

SAP BTP Hosting & Runtime (Mandatory)
- Hands-on experience hosting and running applications on SAP BTP Cloud Foundry or

SAP BTP Neo runtime.
- Experience configuring destinations, service bindings, environment variables, and

application logging.
- Understanding of SAP BTP subaccounts, spaces, entitlements, and service instances.

Deployment & DevOps (Mandatory)




- Mandatory experience deploying applications using Multi-Target Applications (MTA).
- Strong understanding of mta.yaml configuration and deployment descriptors.
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines for automated build and deployment of CAP and

UI5 applications. SAP BTP Neo to Cloud Foundry Migration (Preferred)
- Experience migrating applications from SAP BTP Neo environment to SAP BTP Cloud

Foundry is highly desirable.
- Ability to refactor applications and deployment models for Cloud Foundry compatibility.
- Experience adapting platform services and runtime configurations during migration

initiatives. SAP Fiori / SAPUI5 Experience (Mandatory)
- Hands-on experience developing SAP Fiori applications using SAPUI5 framework.
- Strong knowledge of SAPUI5 MVC architecture, controllers, views, fragments, and

custom controls.
- Experience consuming OData/REST services exposed via SAP CAP backend services.
- Experience with Fiori Elements, annotations, and standard floorplans.
- Experience deploying SAPUI5 applications to SAP BTP (HTML5 Application Repository,

Cloud Foundry).
- SAP Fiori Launchpad concepts including catalogs, groups, roles, and intent-based

navigation.

Required Technical Skills

- SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).
- Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) or Java (Spring Boot).
- SAP Fiori / SAPUI5 application development.
- SAP BTP Cloud Foundry and/or Neo runtime.
- MTA-based deployments.
- REST APIs, OData, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Git-based source control and CI/CD practices.

Good-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to SAP Integration Suite or event-driven architectures.
- Understanding of SAP security concepts such as OAuth and role-based access control.
