Role & responsibilities

- Generate new business opportunities through field visits, cold calling, references, networking, and market research.
- Identify and develop customers in the construction, infrastructure, fabrication, manufacturing, engineering, and industrial sectors.
- Promote and sell steel products such as TMT bars, MS plates, structural steel, sheets, coils, pipes, and other steel materials.
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with builders, contractors, fabricators, dealers, distributors, and industrial customers.
- Understand customer requirements regarding grade, size, quantity, specification, pricing, and delivery.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and close sales effectively.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Conduct regular customer and market visits to generate enquiries and identify new business opportunities.
- Follow up on enquiries, quotations, pending orders, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with the Purchase, Warehouse, Logistics, Accounts, and Dispatch teams for smooth order execution and timely delivery.




- Follow up with customers for payments and outstanding receivables.
- Monitor steel market prices, competitor activities, customer demand, and market trends.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales data, and follow-up details.
- Submit daily/weekly sales and market visit reports to management.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and develop long-term business relationships.

Preferred candidate profile

- Strong knowledge of steel products and the steel trading market.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Robust B2B sales and business development skills.
- Good customer relationship management skills.
- Target-oriented and result-driven approach.
- Strong follow-up and lead-conversion skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
- Willingness to travel for customer and site visits.
- Two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred. (Mandatory)
