ABOUT COMPANY scanO is an AI-powered oral health screening platform, backed by the Google for Startups Accelerator. Our technology detects 40+ oral conditions from a scan, and is used by dental clinics across 9+ global markets including India, the UK, the UAE, South Africa and Singapore.

We are a team of 50+ in Pune, and we build the whole stack in-house: the computer vision models, the in-clinic hardware, the practitioner platform and the patient app.

THE ROLE

Every week, dentists and clinic owners reach out to us through our website, campaigns, webinars and expo booths. Someone has to pick up that interest quickly, understand what the clinic actually needs, explain what scanO does, and get the right prospects in front of our senior sales team.

That is this role. You are the first human voice a prospective customer hears, and the quality of that conversation decides whether a deal ever happens.

This is an inbound-first role. No cold call lists, no field visit targets. Outbound calling is limited to people who have already raised their hand: follow-ups, demo no-shows and older enquiries.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

Lead handling and qualification

Respond to inbound leads from web forms, campaigns, inbound calls, event enquiries and referrals. Run first-level discovery calls to understand the clinic profile, chair count, patient volume, who the real decision maker is, and how soon they intend to move.

Product pitching

Explain scanO’s capabilities and value clearly to dentists, clinic owners and healthcare partners. We will train you on the clinical and technical detail. What you bring is the ability to make it land inside a five-minute phone call.

Pipeline management

Book qualified leads into demo slots with the senior sales team, and own the follow-up discipline that gets prospects to actually turn up.

CRM hygiene





Log call notes, lead stage, qualification detail and next actions accurately, on the same day. Our forecasting depends on it.

Market feedback

Report recurring objections, pricing pushback, competitor mentions and feature requests to the marketing, product and sales teams. You hear the market before anyone else here does.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Experience: 1 to 2 years in inside sales, inbound sales, lead qualification or customer engagement. Product sales experience in SaaS, healthtech, dental, edtech, fintech or B2B is strongly preferred.
- Education: Any graduate. Candidates with a BDS, B.Sc or dental hygiene background who want to move out of clinical practice into a commercial role are especially encouraged to apply.
- Languages: Fluent English and Hindi. Marathi is a strong plus for Pune, Tamil is a robust plus for Chennai.
- Skills: Active listening over talking. Handles objections without getting defensive. Has the judgement to tell whether a lead deserves the senior team’s time, and the honesty to say when it does not.
- Work style: Comfortable in a target-driven environment and on the phone for a large part of the day. Adaptable, because a startup changes its process more often than a large company does.

COMPENSATION

- Fixed salary plus a monthly demo incentive. The monthly demo target is 300 demo booked, set with you and reviewed each month.
