Job SummaryGrace Turnkey Projects Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Safety Engineer with 1–2 years of site experience in interior fit-out or construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for implementing site safety requirements, conducting inspections, maintaining statutory and project safety documentation, and ensuring safe working practices by employees, subcontractors and labour teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement project-specific EHS and site safety procedures.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety induction for workers, supervisors and subcontractors.
- Ensure proper use of PPE at site.
- Monitor high-risk activities including:
- Work at height
- Scaffolding and ladders
- Electrical works
- Hot works, welding and cutting
- Grinding and fabrication
- False-ceiling works
- Material handling
- Cutting and carpentry activities
- Painting, polishing and chemical handling
- Inspect scaffolding, ladders, power tools, extension boards and temporary electrical installations.
- Ensure valid work permits are obtained before high-risk activities.
- Maintain permit-to-work records for hot work, height work and other controlled activities.
- Conduct regular checks of fire extinguishers, first-aid arrangements, emergency exits and evacuation routes.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and client/PMC safety teams.
- Attend client/PMC safety meetings and close observations within the required timeline.
- Issue safety observations and follow up until closure.




- Stop unsafe work where there is an immediate safety risk and report the matter to the Project Manager.
- Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe occurrences and prepare reports.
- Maintain daily, weekly and monthly EHS records.
- Maintain manpower induction and PPE records.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained across work areas, storage areas and access routes.
- Monitor safe storage of paints, thinners, adhesives, chemicals and other combustible materials.
- Ensure debris and waste are removed safely and regularly.
- Support emergency drills and emergency-response planning.
- Maintain compliance with client-specific EHS requirements and applicable statutory regulations.

Required Qualification
- Diploma / Degree in Engineering, preferably Civil, Mechanical or Electrical, with recognised Safety / EHS qualification.
- Diploma / Certificate in Industrial Safety, Construction Safety or equivalent preferred.
- 1–2 years of relevant site safety experience.
- Experience in interior fit-out, commercial interiors, hotels, residential interiors or building construction preferred.

Required Skills
- Understanding of construction and interior fit-out safety practices.
- Knowledge of Permit-to-Work systems.
- Knowledge of work-at-height and hot-work safety.
- Basic knowledge of fire and electrical safety.
- Ability to identify site hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Ability to maintain EHS documentation and registers.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and email.
- Ability to communicate with workers, subcontractors, engineers and client representatives.
- Hindi and English communication required. Knowledge of Marathi will be an advantage.

Preferred Site ExperienceCandidates with exposure to hotel, residential, retail or high-end interior fit-out projects will be preferred.
