Role Description The Residential Business Development Manager for South East Asia, Middle East, Europe, and East Africa is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing business opportunities for AGS Consulting Engineers and Project Management. This remote role is based in Chennai, Day-to-day responsibilities include researching target markets, building and maintaining client relationships, preparing proposals and commercial offers, coordinating with engineering and project management teams, and tracking opportunities from lead generation through to contract closure.



The role also involves representing AGS in client meetings, online presentations, and industry events, gathering market intelligence, and providing regular reports and forecasts to leadership.

The manager will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that client needs are translated into effective technical and project solutions.

Qualifications

- Strong business development and client relationship management skills, including lead generation, negotiation, and account management in engineering or EPC-related sectors.
- Market research and analysis capabilities, with experience assessing opportunities across South East Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and East Africa.
- Project coordination and commercial proposal development skills, including the ability to work closely with engineering, project management, and finance teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in preparing professional documentation and delivering clear, structured presentations.
- Relevant experience in Oil & Gas, industrial projects, infrastructure, or renewable/green energy sectors; familiarity with EPC, FEED, and detailed engineering environments is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree or MBA is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup from Chennai, manage time effectively, travel to client locations as needed, and collaborate with diverse, cross-cultural teams.
