Position: QUALITY MANAGER (JEWELLERY INDUSTRY)

Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control

QUALIFICATION

- M.Sc. Chemistry (Mandatory)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Control / Assurance
- Experience in Jewellery Industry preferred

QUALITY ASSURANCE & CONTROL
- Ensure quality standards for Gold, Silver, and Jewellery products are maintained.
- Monitor and control product quality at all stages of production.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of raw materials and finished goods.

DOCUMENTATION & COMPLIANCE
- Maintain and implement documentation as per ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
- Ensure compliance with BIS IS 1418:2009 (Gold Fineness Standards).
- Prepare, review, and update SOPs, quality manuals, and audit records.
- Maintain accurate records of testing, calibration, and quality checks.
- National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL)

TESTING & LABORATORY MANAGEMENT
- Handle laboratory testing procedures for metal purity and composition.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
- Supervise assay processes and ensure accurate results.

AUDIT & CERTIFICATION




- Coordinate internal and external audits (BIS / ISO).
- Ensure readiness for certification and regulatory inspections.
- Address non-conformists and implement corrective actions.

TEAM MANAGEMENT
- Lead and guide the quality control team and lab technicians.
- Provide training on quality standards and testing procedures.
- Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to protocols.

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
- Identify areas for quality improvement and implement corrective measures.
- Develop and improve quality control systems and procedures.
- Ensure continuous improvement in product quality and compliance.

KEY SKILLS
- Solid knowledge of ISO 17025 documentation & implementation
- Thorough understanding of BIS standards (IS 1418:2009)
- Expertise in metal testing, assay processes, and lab operations
- Good documentation and audit handling skills
- Leadership and team management abilities.
