Role Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Customer Authentication (CAUTH) team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience leading Quality Assurance initiatives for large-scale Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Customer Authentication platforms. The candidate should possess solid expertise in ForgeRock Access Management, authentication and authorization technologies, and modern quality engineering practices.

Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks using Python and PyTest, along with a solid foundation in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), is essential.

The role requires a self-motivated leader with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who can drive quality across complex authentication ecosystems. The successful candidate will be comfortable working across multiple technologies and teams, taking ownership of quality strategy, test automation, integration testing, performance validation, release readiness, and production support activities. The ideal individual is proactive, results-oriented, and capable of leading teams through the full delivery lifecycle, from requirements analysis and test planning to successful production deployment.

As the firm continues its Agile and DevOps transformation, the candidate will serve as a key member of a cross-functional engineering team, driving test automation, continuous testing, quality governance, and operational excellence. A strong interest in understanding business objectives, customer authentication journeys, and enterprise security requirements will be critical to success in this role. The individual will also mentor QA engineers, promote engineering best practices, and help ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the Customer Authentication platform.

Key Responsibilities:

- Quality Assurance Testing: Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases for ForgeRock Access Manager functionalities (including authentication, authorization, and federation protocols).
- Drive Test Automation and CI/CD Integration: Design and maintain automated testing frameworks and ensure automated tests are integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Test Strategy Development:



Create and implement testing strategies and plans to ensure thorough coverage of Access Manager functionality and associated APIs.
- Python Automation: Utilize Python, specifically pytest, to write and maintain test scripts for automated testing of Access Manager features. Object-Oriented Programming proficiency in Python is required.
- Protocol Expertise: Test and validate the integration of various protocols, including OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, LDAP, and other industry-standard authentication/authorization protocols.
- Bug Tracking and Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects in Jira, working closely with development and product teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Manage End-to-End and System Integration Testing: Work alongside cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and product owners, to ensure quality in all stages of the software development lifecycle. Coordinate testing across customer authentication journeys, downstream applications, APIs, identity stores, and third-party integrations.
- Mentor and Develop QA Engineers: Provide technical leadership, conduct review sessions, establish testing standards, facilitate knowledge sharing, and support career development of QA team members.
- Lead QA Governance and Risk Management: Define QA standards, testing best practices, quality metrics, compliance controls, audit evidence, and testing documentation.
- Support Performance, Load, and Resiliency Testing: Lead performance validation activities, capacity planning tests, failover testing, and scale-readiness assessments for authentication services.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 10+ years of Quality Assurance experience with a strong focus on Identity & Access Management (IAM), Access Management, and Customer Authentication platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with ForgeRock Access Management (AM) and a solid understanding of authentication, authorization, federation, and access management capabilities.
- Deep knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols,



including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, LDAP, JWT, and MFA technologies.
- Proven experience with Python and PyTest for test automation, framework development, and test execution.
- Experience leading end-to-end QA activities, including functional, integration, regression, API, and system testing for enterprise-scale applications.
- Solid understanding of performance, load, resiliency, and security testing for high-volume authentication and access management platforms.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, test framework design, and automation best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, including tools such as Jenkins, Git, and automated release validation.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex authentication and integration issues.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, Security teams, and mentoring QA engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with other IAM solutions such as PingAM, PingDS and PingFederate.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus.
