Job Summary

We are hiring a QA/QC Mechanical Engineer with strong hands-on experience in NDT, piping, welding, and fabrication quality control for an industrial project at Jamnagar. The role involves inspections, documentation, coordination with client/third-party, and ensuring compliance with approved ITP/QAP, codes, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor QAP, ITP, inspection checklists, and QA/QC procedures for mechanical works.
- Perform incoming material inspection (MTC review, traceability, identification, preservation).
- Supervise and verify piping fabrication, erection, welding, fit-up, spool checks, dimensional checks, and alignment.
- Coordinate and witness NDT activities (RT/UT/MT/PT/VT), ensure proper coverage, reports, and acceptance.
- Review WPS/PQR/WPQ, welding consumables control, and heat number traceability.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes/standards (ASME/API/ISO as applicable)



and project specs.
- Monitor PWHT, hydrotest/pneumatic test, flushing/blowing (if in scope), and test pack preparation.
- Manage NCRs, CAR/PAR, root cause analysis, and closure with client/consultant.
- Maintain QA/QC documentation: daily reports, inspection reports, NDT reports, test packs, handover dossiers.
- Coordinate with construction, planning, and subcontractors to ensure quality deliverables and progress.
- Participate in audits, client inspections, and ensure readiness for handover & final acceptance.

Must-Have Skills

- Strong exposure to piping & fabrication QA/QC + NDT coordination at industrial sites.
- Knowledge of welding inspection, joint fit-up, welder qualification, traceability, and documentation.
- Practical understanding of hydrotesting/test pack preparation and closure.
- Familiar with inspection instruments (vernier, micrometer, weld gauges, DFT gauge, etc.).
- Valuable command on QA/QC documentation and client/third-party coordination.

Preferred

- CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2, NDT Level II (any method) – added advantage.
- Experience in refinery/petrochemical/steel/industrial projects.
