We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager – Cosmetics / Personal Skin Care to lead and manage the company’s end-to-end procurement function for cosmetic and personal care raw materials, packaging materials, finished products, and other business requirements. The candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor development, cost optimization, purchase planning, and ensuring timely availability of materials.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the complete purchase and procurement function for cosmetics, skincare, and personal care products.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production, sales, inventory, and business requirements.
- Source and evaluate manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and vendors for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, credit period, lead time, quality standards, and other commercial conditions.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, alternate sourcing, and supplier consolidation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and strategic vendors.
- Plan procurement based on production schedules, sales forecasts, inventory levels, and future requirements.
- Ensure timely availability of materials while maintaining optimum inventory levels.
- Monitor purchase orders from placement through delivery and ensure adherence to committed timelines.
- Coordinate with R&D;, Production, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, Finance, Sales, and Management teams.
- Develop alternate vendors to reduce supply-chain risks and dependency on single suppliers.
- Track market trends and price movements for cosmetic ingredients, packaging materials, and personal care products.
- Handle supplier disputes, quality issues, shortages,



delayed deliveries, returns, replacements, and commercial discrepancies.
- Establish and maintain procurement policies, procedures, vendor records, and documentation.
- Review and approve purchase orders within defined authorization limits.
- Monitor procurement budgets and achieve targeted purchase savings and cost efficiencies.
- Prepare and present MIS reports covering procurement, savings, pending orders, vendor performance, inventory, and market trends.
- Lead, guide, and monitor the purchase team to ensure efficient execution of procurement activities.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Candidate Requirements
- 3 -7 years of experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in Cosmetics, Personal Care, Skincare, Beauty, or related industries.
- Robust knowledge of cosmetic and personal-care raw materials, packaging components, finished goods, and supplier markets.
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing, vendor development, commercial negotiations, and cost reduction.
- Solid leadership and team-management capabilities.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, ERP systems, and procurement software.
- Ability to manage multiple suppliers, priorities, and time-sensitive procurement requirements.
