We are looking for a highly accomplished and research-oriented Professor of Computer Science to strengthen the university’s research ecosystem, postgraduate teaching, doctoral supervision, industry collaboration and academic excellence. The ideal candidate should have a strong publication record, proven research leadership and the ability to attract funded research projects and build high-performing research teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct high-quality research in Computer Science and emerging technology domains.
- Publish research papers in SCOPUS/WoS/SCI/ESCI-indexed journals and reputed international conferences.
- Develop and lead funded research projects from government agencies, industry and international funding bodies.
- Supervise PhD scholars, postgraduate and undergraduate research projects.
- Establish and strengthen research labs, centres of excellence and interdisciplinary research initiatives.
- Mentor faculty members and research scholars to improve the department's research output and quality.
- Develop collaborations with IITs, NITs, reputed universities, research institutions and industry partners.
- File and support patents, copyrights, technology transfer and research-based innovations.
- Contribute to curriculum development incorporating emerging areas such as AI/ML, Generative AI, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, IoT, Blockchain and Quantum Computing.
- Organise and participate in international conferences, workshops, FDPs and research seminars.
- Support institutional NAAC/NIRF/NBA/QS and other academic/research rankings and accreditation initiatives.
- Encourage consultancy,
industry-sponsored research and technology-based solutions.
- Take responsibility for achieving defined research KPIs, publication targets, funded projects and doctoral outcomes.
Research Expectations The candidate should demonstrate:
- Strong and consistent SCOPUS/WoS/SCI-indexed publication record.
- Evidence of high-quality/cited research publications.
- Experience in securing research grants/funded projects.
- PhD supervision experience and preferably successfully awarded PhD scholars.
- Patents, copyrights, consultancy or technology-transfer experience will be an advantage.
- Experience in establishing research collaborations and interdisciplinary projects.
- Strong academic network and ability to build national and international research collaborations.

Qualification
- PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a closely related discipline from a reputed institution.
- BE/ B.Tech-CSE, ME/ M.Tech-CSE degree in the relevant discipline with consistently solid academic credentials.
- Minimum 12–20 years of academic/research experience, preferably including experience at Professor/Associate Professor level.
