PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGIST (Mechanical)
Job Location-Hinjewadi Pune.
We are seeking a skilled Production Mechanical Technologist to join our assembly team focused on mining drill products. The ideal candidate will possess a solid mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience in assembly processes, and a dedication to ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production lines. As a Production Mechanical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and testing of mining drill products, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly of mining drill products according to established procedures and specifications.
- Utilize EOT cranes, hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to ensure accurate assembly and alignment of components.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the assembly process to identify and address any defects or discrepancies.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise during assembly, making necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure product integrity.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to provide feedback on product assembly processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within assembly bays to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing assembly tasks, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with the testing and validation of assembled products to ensure they meet performance and quality standards.
- Document assembly procedures, test results, and any relevant data to support traceability and continuous improvement efforts.
- Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and stay current with advancements in assembly techniques and equipment.
- In case of shortage of parts or lacking quality, a report is enrolled in quality and/or respective database. Assembly work requires co-operation with other stakeholders: engineering, buyers, pre-assembly, production supervision and quality control.
Education / Experience
- DIPLOMA (Mechanical Engg.) with 1-3 Year Experience in Preferably in the Construction & Mining equipment/manufacturing industry. Vocational or technical training in mechanical assembly or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience working as a mechanical technologist or in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using EOT cranes, hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot mechanical issues independently.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to mechanical assembly and manufacturing operations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to support production schedules.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry objects with appropriate material handling equipment and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals.
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary for performing intricate assembly tasks.
