About the Team

Within J&J; Innovative Medicine, the R&D; Business Technology team serves as the strategic technology partner for Global Development. The team provides innovative technology solutions that enable Global Development to deliver on its portfolio, improve agility, adopt new technologies, and build solutions for the future.

The Clinical Data Management & Analysis team is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer / Product Engineer to join the R&D; Business Technology team in Hyderabad, India.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring, React, REST APIs, and full stack application development, with experience building enterprise-level applications.

Key Responsibilities 1. Technical Leadership & Expertise

- Define and lead software architecture, technical design, and application roadmaps.
- Provide technical leadership across Java, Spring, React, and full stack development.
- Mentor team members and provide hands-on guidance for complex technical challenges.
- Drive adoption of engineering best practices and scalable development approaches.

1. Application Development

- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications.
- Develop backend services using Java and Spring Framework.
- Build responsive and scalable frontend applications using React.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs with internal and third-party systems.
- Ensure application responsiveness, scalability, and performance through effective coding and optimization practices.

1. Application Support & Operations

- Provide production support for deployed applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues within defined timelines.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to support smooth application deployments.
- Monitor application performance and operational health.
- Document application configurations, deployment procedures, and operational processes.
- Contribute to reducing application downtime and improving operational stability.

1. Performance Optimization





- Conduct application performance assessments and identify bottlenecks.
- Optimize application code, database queries, and server configurations.
- Monitor application metrics and logs to proactively identify performance issues.
- Implement solutions to improve application reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Develop and support strategies for high availability and disaster recovery.

1. Collaborative Development

- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including:
- Daily stand-ups
- Sprint planning
- Sprint reviews
- Retrospectives
- Code reviews

- Collaborate with data scientists, project managers, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality applications.

1. Quality Assurance

- Drive application testing and deployment activities.
- Implement and support automated testing practices.
- Conduct detailed debugging and troubleshooting.
- Ensure applications meet quality, performance, security, and reliability standards.
- Participate in code reviews and promote coding best practices.

1. Continuous Improvement

- Identify opportunities to improve development processes and engineering practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and software development trends.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies where they can add business or technical value.
- Promote automation, scalability, maintainability, and engineering excellence.

1. CI/CD & DevOps

- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with tools such as:
- Jenkins
- Artifactory
- Bitbucket

- Ensure automated testing and deployment processes are implemented.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve release efficiency and reliability.
- Support continuous delivery and automated software deployment practices.

Required Qualifications Education
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

- Minimum 5 years of relevant IT experience in Full Stack Development.
- Strong experience developing enterprise-level applications.

Backend

- Strong proficiency in Java

Frontend

- Strong experience with React
