About the Role

We are looking for someone who can manage more than just purchasing—someone who can take ownership of the complete material flow:

Project Requirement → Material Planning → Vendor Sourcing → Negotiation → PO → Dispatch → Logistics → Site Delivery → Closure The role requires a strong combination of strategic procurement, vendor management, material planning, logistics coordination and supply-chain execution to ensure the right material reaches the right site, at the right time and at the right cost.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement

- Manage centralized procurement for multiple projects and locations across India.
- Plan and execute procurement based on project requirements, BOQs, timelines and material schedules.
- Source materials, equipment and services from reliable vendors.
- Identify and evaluate new vendors and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Obtain quotations, negotiate prices, commercial terms, credit periods and delivery schedules.
- Compare quotations and prepare commercial comparison statements for approvals.
- Raise and monitor Purchase Orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Track procurement from enquiry to order placement and final delivery.
- Ensure procurement is aligned with project budgets and approved specifications.
- Develop alternate sources for critical materials to reduce supply risk.

Logistics & Supply Chain

- Coordinate end-to-end movement of materials from vendors to project sites.
- Plan dispatches based on project priorities and site requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors, transporters, site teams, project managers and stores.
- Track material dispatch, transit and delivery status.
- Ensure timely delivery across multiple cities/sites.
- Manage transportation costs and optimize logistics routes.




- Resolve issues relating to delays, shortages, damages, incorrect deliveries and documentation.
- Maintain visibility of material movement and expected delivery dates.

Inventory & Material Planning

- Coordinate with project/site teams to understand upcoming material requirements.
- Monitor stock availability and avoid both stock-outs and unnecessary inventory.
- Track critical and long-lead materials.
- Ensure proper coordination between procurement, logistics, stores and project teams.
- Maintain procurement and material planning schedules for ongoing projects.

Vendor Management

- Develop and maintain a reliable vendor network across product categories.
- Evaluate vendors based on price, quality, delivery capability and service.
- Negotiate better commercial terms and improve procurement efficiencies.
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve recurring supply issues.
- Maintain vendor database and procurement records.

Reporting & MIS

- Prepare weekly/monthly procurement and logistics MIS.
- Track open POs, pending deliveries, material shortages and delayed supplies.
- Report procurement savings, vendor performance and logistics costs.
- Maintain proper documentation of quotations, approvals, POs, invoices and delivery records.

Candidate Profile
- Graduate in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Commerce or a related field .
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in procurement and logistics.
- Experience in infrastructure, construction, sports infrastructure, manufacturing or project-based procurement preferred.
- Solid experience in multi-site/multi-city procurement .
- Good understanding of project-based and phased procurement.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good understanding of logistics, transportation and material movement.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
